Basically Duchene for 1st + Girard(good PMD prospect) + Kamenev(wild card prospect with upside) + 3rd

Not bad, not amazing either since Duchene isn't a rental.

Ottawa trading a 1st + Turris for Duchene is interesting. I like Duchene a lot but that's not much of an upgrade. Guessing Turris wants around 6.5M-ish per year.

Melnyk being a cheapass bites them in the ass again.


I love it for the Preds even though I like the 2 prospects they gave up.

I really like the Preds. I think they are managed as good as they can be considering that Nashville was a hockey wasteland when they were chosen for expansion.
I hope they kick ass in the playoffs.

I think Duchene is a pretty big upgrade on Turris, 2 years younger for a team in win now mode while they have Karlsson. at least big enough to be worth the picks. Hard to imagine them outside the playoffs.
