I think he's an upgrade, but not enough to be worth a signed Turris + 1st + prospect they just drafted in the 1st last year + 3rd - Nucker101
As we are fond of saying...time will tell i suppose.
If they make a deep playoff push, it's worth it in the eye's of mgmt. |

Not sure what this has to do with what I said lol. Just my opinion that Gudbranson played decent and MDZ was just OK, but as a pairing they struggled in the 3rd.
Also the Pens were playing a back to back and aren't playing great hockey by their standards. - Nucker101
You might want to check the schedule and their stats again with that comment. |

Poile is a great GM and they have some great scouting/development - Nucker101
So true, but if you didn't know who Poile was you'd think there was something a bit 'off' with him. Bit of a strange guy. |

Duchene to OTT. Turris to NASH with a 6x6 extension. COL gets Girard, Kamenev, Bowers, Hammond, a 1st (OTT), a 2nd (NASH) and a 3rd (OTT). - VANTEL
Thats quite a haul for the AV’s. |

and a 2nd. - dbot
Shoot, forgot about that. Still love it for them as a contender.
Colorado got a decent haul, but a lot of mid tier assets instead of a Fabbro/Chabot
I do like Girard a lot though |

TBL was gifted better picks (at least a few 1st overalls).
I think Nsh had a #2 and #4 - dbot
I was thinking more along the lines of Cups won. |

Baer and Hutton sure, but I ain't complaining about their play so far. Beat my expectations.
But then again, I had the marianas trench of expectations. |

Now that Turris is off the UFA list JT will be the man with no back up plan for the losers on netting him. Pred's who would have been a great fit cap and team wise out of the picture now.
So wonder if Kane's stock will rise as UFA pending...?
Should Canucks pursue JT or Kane...? |

Is your sarcasm button broken, some may take you seriously. Although if we were going after either one of those players, Tavares as a top line centre would have to be the choice, we are thin at quality centres who can be top 6. |

My very faint hope lies with signing OEL as a UFA.
We need help with D more than anything imo.
plus, you know. He's Swedish, so... |

Swedish defensemen are fine.
There were only 2 options given so I go centre every time, not sure if we should be signing quality UFA just yet, we need more decent prospects in the pool. Maybe for the 2019-20 season. I think that is when OEL is UFA anyways. |
