Would pair nicely with Dahlin.

So OEL will be staying in Arizona/Seattle.

Swedish defensemen are fine.
There were only 2 options given so I go centre every time, not sure if we should be signing quality UFA just yet, we need more decent prospects in the pool. Maybe for the 2019-20 season. I think that is when OEL is UFA anyways.

- Reubenkincade

Correct OEL has 2 years left on contract and likely will be resigned this off season as AZ has tons of cap room.

The pass on this top UFA and wait for another one is like passing on a lotto pick.

Dorian has now overpaid Benning and Sakic in less than a year, 2 GM's who are heavily criticized.

I know Melynk's cheapass forces his hand, but lol

Ottawa got hosed, Sakic managed to actually get assets for a player that didn't want to be in Colorado and Nashville made out like gangbusters with Turris for essentially a 2nd and a couple spare parts. Johanssen, Turris and Bonino down the middle plus Josi, Subban, and Ellis on D with Rinne in goal is darned formidable.

Plus Ekholm on D!

Nashville definitely improved the most, i agree.
Ottawa got the best player imo.
Colorado got a lot, but not that one incredible pick/prospect.

The faves are the Leafs according to Sportsnet(til end times prolly). Just like the Leafs playoff success last year(2 whole wins) was bigger news than the Canadian teams that were still playing all through the 2nd round.

I don't think they're "THE" favorites, there's a group of teams that are really talented. This early in the season the cream is only starting to rise to the top. By mid December you'll start to see some separation.

Penguins, Blues, Columbus and obviously Tampa have really really strong teams.

They've got a good club, no question, they've been building for 20 odd years, it's about time they're good.

While I can’t say i “disagree”, this doesn’t make sense. If Ott got hosed, and Nashville broke even Colorado must have made out like bandits, but if it’s just decent then...

Im pretty big on Turris. I like it from nashvilles perspective. Colorado did decent with the picks ans prospects as they are rebuilding. Ottawa losing turris, the picks, for duchene i just dont know if they dramatically improved to be contenders or anything

I agree, seems steep. If it had been Canucks can you imagine the poop show in here!
