Right with you on your assessment of Martel, Bill. He should be considered for recall if one of the top skill players go down, but other than that he's probably not a good fit for the lineup right now.

Saturday night the Flyers feed was once again unavailable to me on Center Ice so I had to listen to the Colorado guy pronounce it Gots-i-bear all game long. Is it too much to ask a professional broadcaster to study the names so he can pronounce them properly?

Don't like seeing Patrick miss all this time, but also happy he's not being rushed back. Returning early from a concussion (if that's what he had) is not best practice.

My guess is to lighten the effect of the bright lights. Experience has taught me after numerous concussions that bright lights will sometimes give me a headache, even after I have been fully recovered.

Probably just a precaution, but I really don't see it making much of a difference.

True. But his track record scares me.

Also, Neuvirth isn't practicing. Stand-in goalie stretching.

I'd like Lou to do that in the arena, too. But it's like no one can bother to do even the simple ones (Finnish is the most phonetically pure language in the world and the accent is always on the first syllable. So that should be easy, you'd think. But then, I've never heard one announcer say Rinne right. Its RIN-neh. not -ay.)

Once again, a totally clean hit results in a bunch of players trying to fight the guy who threw the hit.

Any update on the heath of Sam Morin? It seems like the kid cannot catch a break. Drafted in the top 10, one round ahead of Robert Hagg. I thought Morin had a more rounded camp than Travis Sanheim, who only really impressed me with his three goals in pre season action but hasn't seen much offensive situation so far. Than none of these guys were gonna beat Provorov when he was ready. Now we recently had two open spots and it turns out he's playing through injury. What should we expect moving forward?
