Any update on the heath of Sam Morin? It seems like the kid cannot catch a break. Drafted in the top 10, one round ahead of Robert Hagg. I thought Morin had a more rounded camp than Travis Sanheim, who only really impressed me with his three goals in pre season action but hasn't seen much offensive situation so far. Than none of these guys were gonna beat Provorov when he was ready. Now we recently had two open spots and it turns out he's playing through injury. What should we expect moving forward? - SuperSchennBros
Apparently, the team was less than impressed with his puck skills the last preseason game or two, while Sanheim seemed to get better as preseason went on. Hagg has a more well-rounded game than either of them, and is a guy who won't make the highlight puck plays of Sanheim or the bone-crushing hits like Morin, just a very stable player.
Had Morin not been injured, he would have been playing over Alt and O'Neill. I have a feeling he'll at least get a handful of games by the AS break. |

Im not even sure what his actual injury is, other than lower body injury.
Its refreshing to me to see the culture change in the organization when it comes to injuries. Gone are the days of "man up and play through it" like they did in the 90's and back through the inception. Imagine had they taken more care with Lindros and Renberg.
I am actually a little surprised they haven't sat Simmonds, unless he is just banged up and not "injured".
A lot of time and money tied up in these kids. Better safe than sorry.
Its too bad Eric Lindros, a generational superstar, had to be the one to take that beach on his own when it came to concussions. He is single handedly responsible for prolonging and saving the careers of many an NHL player playing now. |

Does anyone buy this BS from Ek that the Flyers are talking to the Canadians about a Defenseman? I know Montreal tried to trade up to take Morin in the Draft and it seems like we are having trouble fitting him into the lineup, but what for? Galchenyuk? I'm sorry, but we had to move Giroux to LW because we are already deep at center. Why go after him. Drouin? I mean I would love to have Drouin but I'm not so sure we need him anymore.... Maybe I make the move if we give up Morin and a 2nd for Drouin and a 1st. Just dont think Montreal would be ready to make that move. |

I don't buy it at all. We have a pretty banged up defense right now and I can't see Hexy making this situation even more difficult by shipping a healthy guy out unless its an overpayment. Not really sure what MTL has to offer either; they're short on prospects and they just acquired Drouin in the offseason. Galchenyuk's value is also low currently. |

But not sure what I would offer. His value is low.

I use NHL.TV which used to be gamecenter live. I have the option of using either NHL.TV or center ice. I went with NHL.TV for one the because I can choose the feed and don't have to listen to the home announcers at all. I also get the option of streaming anywhere. I can catch the feed while out to eat or when I am playing poker, (bar league), or just running errands with the wife. It is a bit of a pain in the ass to have to stream it all the time, but I can't stand the other announcers. |

NHL.TV also started to stick around for the post game shows. They could be better but I never got them before this year. |
