ZERO issues with Kane in the sabres locker room

ZERO credible off ice issues with Kane as a sabre, cept the all star nba issue

pretty consistent at staying on the ice as a sabre

- homiedclown

Neither of us are in the lockroom, pretty documented in winnipeg, the whole track suit issue
Definitely saw the video of "guest bartender" fighting with bouncer
Can't be sure of the sexul assault but went there multiple occasions? Alegations?

Pretty sure he missed time with a shoulder injury when we traded for him. Broken ribs last year.

74 games 2011
63 games 2013
37 games 2014
65 games 2015
70 games 2016

Am I missing something here?

It’s not GMTM’s fault if he isn’t re-signed
Was still a good trade to get him

- jdfitz77

looking back the trades for kane, ror and lehner were made a year too early

No.

Maybe better point producers. But not better overall.

I agree, team Canada likes him too

Yup, he’s playing amazing since he returned from ribs last year, except for those 1st 10 games when he tried to play too early.
I’d keep him, only guy that can consistently put the Bread in the basket.

1. if Kane signed the extension this summer, he would have an A on his jersey

2. he has played in the last 82 consecutive games

Again...
we already had been doing what u suggested for FOUR YEARS

Why did we need to wait “1 more year” and not make those moves then?
And for that matter,
would “1 more year” have been enough?
Wouldn’t 2 more years of higher picks be better than just 1 more year?
Wouldn’t 3 more years have been even better?

Why was it not time to stop after year 4
But the right time according to u & sbroads would’ve been after year5?

based on their record, and current ply on the ice, the timing was too early

Honestly, this team could "survive" those trades without signing Okposo, and that's before his condition occurred late last spring. I honestly think had they not done that, Tim Murray would still be the General Manager of the Buffalo Sabres.

Based on this poop show after 4 years of absolute sucking, Yes, 3 more years would have been better that where we are at now and you’re suggesting building through process...which unless you define it covertly otherwise means through the draft...and I then think that means roughly right 3 more years anyway.
So really, what is the point...consecutive 3 more years, or take a 2 year break and draft for 3 mor3 years then?

Playing with eichel seams to be the right formula, for everyone. Kane is a force, but jbotts likes the draft, ahl formula. Not sure about big $ contracts. I agree with your other post totally. 2 years ago ,I was telling everyone we were the 87 bills in the making. Sam had 23 goals and his future looked bright. I hate to bag on the sabres but, something is broken. Sam's light has dimmed too.

If we hadn’t traded for O’Reilly & Kane,
Our ‘15-16 lineup would’ve looked something like this:

Ennis-Eichel-Reinhart
Moulson-Girgensons-Gionta
Larsson-Grigorenko-Armia
Foligno-Legwand-Deslauriers

Um...
I just don’t know why that would’ve been a good idea?
So we could get Dubois instead of Nylander...
I’d rather have Kane, O’Reilly & Nylander instead

***no, I don’t think we’d have outtanked the Leafs
But we would’ve finished worse than the 5th spot, which is where Winnipeg jumped up from to get Laine
So we’d have gotten a choice of Dubois, Puljujarvi or Tkachuk

Without that signing, they would still have significant cap room to get creative to improve this team. I said this when they signed him. Okposo may have been the most popular player of his free agent class, but that class was so watered down that it was the equivalent of winning the $350 split club prize at an elementary school fundraiser, and his contribution improves this team about as much as that prize would paying off my mortgage.

Or laine? but I'll take Tkachuk and whatever high pick we'd have gotten in 2017 over the moves made

1. Can we have 6 alternate captains?
2. Good point

His injuries are related to his all out effort and playing style, which I can respect

But THEN, u couldn’t say what our play would be like NOW

That’s hindsight

U keep avoiding the theory in my questioning

Why wait only 1 more year & not 2 then?
Or 3? Or 4?

What’s the reasoning YOU use to say when to stop trying to draft high, and start to trade for guys to help u win?

In retrospect, the only issue with the Okposo signing was his injury/illness last year and the impact that has had on his play.

Murray made that signing since Stammer F’d with everyone and resigned with TB
(For which I am grateful as a consolation prize since I now live down here, lol).
Else, maybe we have Stammer instead.

I’m ok with it, but chalk it up to Bufaluck

he did not want to fire disco sucks

he had no answers for rochester being a mess

he thought the current team was 1 trade away from making the playoffs

Grigorenko. Darcy threw him to the wolves, realized his mistake then jerked the kid around for a bit and then threw him right back to the wolves. He needed to be in Rochester after Junior. He's the guy you wait for 2-3 years on.

I understand all that. However, having the cap room makes that believable. Murray had no answers because all of the ammo he had was gone. He depleted the prospect pool and left them in only okay shape cap wise, but not enough to say "we're going to be a championship contender" with a straight face.
