Premature IMO. Much can depend on what happens to EG. I’d explore trading Hutton to open up the same role open for OJ if ready & if EG is resigned.

The goals/points are nice, but I wonder how his defensive game/skating is developing. he got turn-styled way too easily, even at the prospect tournament.

1) Where did I say he's getting tunstiled in Finland? Read what i wrote again. I'm getting worried about you...

2) It was more than one shift, he got beat wide multiple times in the pre-season/exhibition ames he played in. I'm sorry I don't have those videos archived just for this discussion

3) Gudbranson does get beat wide by forwards, it's happened multiple times this season. 4 periods of hockey doesn't mean it's never happened before. I'm not even a hater of his and he has nothing to do with this discussion.

I read he was hitting more . Moved to top line and he is stronger. His coach said he is NHL ready I believe

OJ plays a safe game but in the NHL forcing wide is one thing but closing down the angles is still a work in progress. He has to learn to use skating & stick ability better.

Can't argue with that, I'm not even much of a Hutton fan. He's a bottom pairing type of guy at this point who needs sheltered minutes.


Biega is a bit weird, he always looks better when he's fresher. I think he plays such a high energy game and isn't a big guy that he's almost at his best when he's fresher than everyone else. I remember when he played a lot last year and started well and then faded hard.
