Gudbranson for Galchenyuk? - 1970vintage
We would have to add to gud to get Galch
I think my Gud/Baer for Galch + 2nd idea would work as a now trade. MTL could flip Gud at the TDL if they are out of the picture. |

Boucher would require waivers to be sent back down, no?
Gaunce back as well. Something has to give.
Has Guddy been that bad? Would you take 4 years @ 4 million? I'd rather have him over Demers. Del Zotto covers what Demers would have brought. I still like Guddy's value to the room and "the team" in general. Its going to be interesting how JB deals with the situation. - storm88
nope.
there was chatter the other day that he might not re-sign, so the trade speculation ramped up.
i like him. |

i don't think Mtl would be looking to add a player like Gudbranson after their offseason moves and signing Alzner.
Gudbranson, Sven and a 2nd. Is that the new package?

If memory serves, Louie's contract is bonus heavy in the first few years, might not be too difficult to trade later once most of the money is paid.
just checked, this season he got a $7m signing bonus to go along with $1m in salary. Next year it's $6m signing bonus and $1m salary. Year 4, 5 and 6 he gets paid less than his cap hit, so other than the whole NTC thing (modified in years 5 & 6) it's doable. |

It's just speculation to drum up trade talk. JB can't resign Guddy until Jan and this is all premature. But if he isn't signed by February then it would make sense to trade him before TDL. |

In my deal we get the 2nd, not give the 2nd. Galch is an upgrade on Baer and would work better in that line, we get another pick next season. MTL can flip Gud at the deadline if they are out of the playoffs, or do not re-sign him. |

Thanks Carol for the write up. Time for some changes maybe not only in goal.
Noticed the call up as well, and from last thread, it would make sense to play the bulky Boucher and beefy Gaunce in this back to back against Flames.
Sit Burmi and Gagner. At center go with Gaunce. On LW Boucher. Plus on PP his shot could be utilized.
Also, both played together recently on Comets so familiarity is there to continue with line of Vanek or JV depending on game flow. - Nuck4U
You can't sit Gagner, he is BFFs with Tavares |

Seriously.
What a short-sighted suggestion. Keep your eyes on the real prize. |
