I am much happier with Dahlen and Goldobin than having a crutch for the Sedin's
As Codes pointed out, crazy how Hansen went from first liner with Sedin's to healthy scratch on SJ. The Sedin's have been creating assets for years and they finally cashed in - WhiteLie
Good point there
There we go, we now have a use for boucher...pair him w sedins, get him points then trade him for a pick. Hes pretty useless to us otherwise |

I actually feel bad for Hansen. Hard to believe he isnt better than one of the 12 forwards in SJ. Not really sure what is going on there - Codes1087
Some players just suck on some teams. Eriksson probably isn't as bad he looks here either.
If only we could make that swap |

I feel bad for Hansen the person, but not Hansen the hockey player. I was on board for trading high on him thinking he would be a 3rd liner on a good team, not the top 6 he was being used for here. Glad someone overpaid to get him, Goldobin/Rathbone>Hansen |

I mean fairly temporarily to break them from old habits and introduce new dimensions to their game.
The problem with with the sedins is their game has gotten predictable n teams know simply to place a player between the 2 of them to prevent the pass, which shuts them both down.
But hey you never know, splitting them could be magic too. Just try, its early in the season. - SMBDragon
I hope Green gives this a go. Many intangibles there. |

Tell them we'll throw in Eriksson for free if they call in the next 24 hours, limited time offer only |

Hutton definitely has improved, though some of his mistakes are more amplified this year.
I am not sure I'll ever like Hutton though, his goofy demeanour just rubs me the wrong way. I am more a fan of Stecher's attitude and work ethic, which gives me hope long term that he'll prove himself a steady NHLer. Hutton just seems like the opposite - WhiteLie
I like Stecher's attitude for sure but I don't really care about the attitude as much as the results. I also like Stecher but don't see him as an offensive savior some bill him as. He works hard and can make some plays for sure but doesn't ever wow me.
Hutton I feel has another gear offensively, even if his gaffs are more visible a la Edler.

Granny had some success there (Gramps and Granny line), but he has been pretty valuable in a shutdown/counter attack line this year. - dbot

Agreed, I think something has to change/click for Stecher to be an offensive producer. He is a solid puck mover though which I guess now replaced the thug depth from decades past
Also agree on Hutton's potential. He reminds me a lot of Eddie Lack, has a lot of tools and shows flashes but I wish he started to show some assertive behaviour to take him to the next level, now that he's been in the league for a few years |

Hutton is only 24, I'd give him another season or so to see him start to move in that direction. He definitely needs to be more assertive, but that comes with age and maturity for most.
And I agree with Stretcher: more of a quick first-pass guy, smart and a good skater. Not an offensive dynamo, but he gets pucks to the net and creates offensive chances. |
