Halford and Brough spent quite a bit of time on it . John Shannon. IMac . Something has to give eventually. The Style Green plays is not compatible to EG. Also the cost of a Banger Style D at 4 mil is high.
If EG gets a season ending injury Canucks are hooped - VANTEL
IMac is what Gallagher was for Gillis
A supporter/mouthpiece of management in the media so when he starts to mention a possibility of a trade I'd definitely listen. And when he defends a player I'd say that player isn't going anywhere. |

Only eligible for conditioning. Give him some time on farm, only helps sort out roster through injuries, trades or who tails off. - Renidrag
That's a good plan and they might do that if overloaded on roster and team playing well. |

Yeah I mean realistically Biega is 3 mil cheaper and brngs hits and will stand up for guys the three times a year you need it.
I like EG but the league does not do a lot of fighting lately. |

You going to be upset if they waive Biega and he gets claimed? - Makita
No. I'd laugh at the GM who claimed him. |

Sorry I don't bet, I once put $5 in a slot machine about 25 years ago and thought what a waste. Walked out of the casino, rented a car and drove all over Nevada and Northern California for the rest of my trip, I have never gambled other than that and do not personally believe in it.
As you know I'm not a fan of Benny Hill Stecher, so if claimed I would have the same reaction if Biega is claimed...cost of doing business. - Makita
Again glad you are not the GM choosing to waive Stecher over Biega. ... asset management failure. |

You don't seem to understand my position, this isn't a popularity contest, Stecher is a liability, Biega is a liability, I could give a rats ass if either are claimed.
I'll say this again, please try to understand, Stecher or Biega are not NHL talent, if they can develop properly in the AHL and come back with some skills that would be great.
I do not care for either player, BUT I like Biega's toughness and poise over Stecher any day of the week.
You seem to get a hard on for certain players, and really complained ad nausem last year when WD wasn't inserting, Stecher, Rodin, Goldobin, Boucher whomever, you don't see me stating "glad you're not the GM for wanting AHL players on the Canucks".
So please don't be condescending of my opinions on a player you over value with your opinion.

Edler, Stecher and Eriksson are on IR. Weircioch and Boucher only clear 2 roster spots, unless I am missing something.
I cant recall what they were carrying at the start of the season, 8D, 13F? If thats the case then I'd go down to 7D, 14F and dare someone to take Stetcher - WhiteLie

I don't dislike our D . I think the team in general is playing well so I am not looking for fault. I think you will see movement in the next three years . Hopefully OJ will work out, and this years draft pick along with Tanev MDZ Pouliot will take us to another level. |

Biega does not have an NHL ceiling, Stecher does and is much younger. Him getting claimed off of waivers would be bad. Just like letting Sbisa go for nothing was bad instead of trading a late pick to keep him and letting them take Boucher or Gaunce or whoever that has zero value. |

Not sure if the stats guys are going to like your defense of Gudbranson, it doesn't fit the narrative of how bad he apparently is.😆 - Renidrag

Ya he's kind of like Luke schenn at this point, unfortunately. Times are a changing. He would have been top4 in the 90's, for sure. Need to be much more mobile and better with the puck than back in the day. Hopefully JB can recoup something for him! - neem55

Biega is an 8th defenseman, that is still a ceiling, Stecher should have spent time in AHL to learn the game at both ends of ice, instead, he got forced into way too many games last year making him waiver eligible this year.
We have zero idea if Benning tried to move Sbisa at TDL or offer up a late pick at expansion, but if he did somehow retain Sbisa, the masses would have been up in arms over it. |

I think I actually like this thread better when the team is losing.
Under rate players when Van's losing and over rate them when they are winning.
I like where the younger players have developed too. |

I would do it and resign Kane, would be a great LW for EP next season if he is ready. He would also have more value at TDL if we flip him. If resign we could move a winger as well. |
