The hope diamond is worth 200+ million and there's probably another one out there somewhere, Chris Tanev on the other hand, not so much....he's defintely a "one-off"

Tanev is obviously is a massive loss and has a trickle down effect on the entire defense, but to use that as an excuse against a depleted Ducks roster is wrong.

There's literally no way anyone can argue this without looking stupid.

He has been for ahwile now. He's not going to look like Bieksa/Sbisa, but he doesn't really shutdown top end players(unless paired with Tanev) or create offense.
