He started last season with the Panthers, mainly due to their rash of injuries, and was very erratic, and often invisible. It seems getting sent down while Denis Malgin stayed was a wake up call for him, as if he finally realized it wasn't going to just be handed to him. He even admitted in an interview during camp that arrogance had been his biggest problem in the past. His game has all around vastly improved this season.

Dude, McCann has 30 points total in his career, a career that spans 106 games, that's under 0.3 points per game. Hutton gets more points then he does and Hutton is a borderline replacement level defensemen.
