I can empathize, but I don't sympathize with the portion of the ticket holding fan base that's jaded. If it's that bad, just stop buying the tickets. I had to listen to people just ripping on the sabres all night and not giving credit for the good things that happened

Its still a night out, family fun. It's fun to be downtown and grab a bite to eat before the game. You can actually bring your family to a sabres game vs. A bills game. They lost a bunch of season ticket holder this year.

Some people drink and gamble. Going to the sabres games is our vice.

That’s almost 100.00 for a father and son to go to a game... 60 in tickets, 20 to park.... and a couple drinks, that’s a lot of money for some family’s that live paycheck to paycheck. And really if there is two kids now your talking 200.00 to see one hockey game....

Right but I mostly mean for younger couples, single adults, city residents who have no issues dropping 70+ dollars on bands that come to town 2 times or more a year.

I could eat dinner, catch a bus from Lockport to Buffalo for 5 dollars/day pass. Then hop on the subway at University station, go right to the arena, watch that game for 30 bucks, sometimes even cheaper, then just go out for the night, find a bar that doesn't close early during the week, stay up until 4am last call, go hit up a diner, then catch the 6:00am bus back to Lockport and have spent maybe 75 bucks if I'm smart about it.

Trouble is, I don't want to pay poop all for this team right now. I've been watching them for over 25 years. Love them to death. But I don't have to like the product.

That said, I'd be that idiot sitting by himself screaming "Let's Go Buffalo!" all night and getting stared at by all the cupcake fans.
