My last comment for the day and I am done. We are the worst team in the league at moving the puck and passing. It is fun to watch all of the high skill teams in the league. the talent level is the highest its ever been. We invested in the wrong players, obviously. It will take some time to get this corrected.
Gorges had a nice game. Even when Reeves ran him over twice in one shift he kept his composure. He just got back up and played his game. Too many guys get thrown off when hit like that. - cranktheradio
Gorges was dishing it out as well. We really need his grit and toughness. Could turn into a decent draft pick at the deadline.
Jack was great in OT when he let Crosby get away from him and then left Sheary wide open for the game winner
Showed some real leadership there when he sulked his way off the ice - TheGame316
Everyone's harping on Jack for that play... can anyone tell me why Beaulieu was 25 feet away from the net trying to cover the point?
Could Jack have played him tighter? Sure. But Beaulieu should not have been in the middle of no where not helping anything. He needs to be playing defense there.
Never played football growing up, so i may be way off on this, but don't Qb's throw to guys based on a route sometimes? As in they'll see a matchup at the line of scrimmage and then throw the ball on time at a specified place without necessarily looking?
It feels to me like Tyrod never trusted where his guys should be. He had to stare at a guy and know he was open - jcragcrumple
There're reads, yes, but I don't think the Bills trusted him to read the defense. He never audibles.
They a play with a progression of reads. So if a guy is open outside the numbers on the left side, but the play is to the outside of the numbers on the right he'll never see him.
And also yes, many of them are supposed to be timing plays, Tyrod doesn't have the confidence in the receivers/chemistry built up to let the ball go before the receiver has made his break.
Agree 100%. Jack is an abomination on defense, not unlike the rest of the Sabres forwards - lulags
Isn't defense something jack can learn or acquire. At what level would have any of his coaches worked on his defensive skills? He's a straight up offensive threat. Disco dan tried apparently , I'm not sure that went so well
Hey the knock on the kid is he doesn't make others around him better. Which at this moment is in fact true.
Let's not compare him to a guy voted as a top 50 player of all time. - dadeadhead
Pippen also wasn't 22, in his third year in the league when he did those things either. I'm not saying Sam will ever turn into that, but let's have some (frank)ing patience, eh? Plenty of very good to great players have started slow.

good point...still don't see the attraction...
watch the overtime goal that mtl scored...he breaks his stick, goes to the bench for a new one and drifts in the neutral zone on a 50/50 puck battle...he got caught goal-sucking
