Agreed.... How he performs in Rochester this year will tell a lot... if he comes in and sets the place on fire I would expect to see him in Buffalo later in the year otherwise it will be asking these questions next year.
Mittlestadt seems like a setup man (however a he is a VERY good skater), not really a true goal scorer... (but he is only 10 games into is first year) I still think we need to find one of them in the draft. (Not with the first pick)

As bad as this team is playing now we are going to have a chance at Rasmus Dahlin... That sure would set us up nicely moving forward...

if we could ever get healthy it would be nice to see what we actually have on Defense now... Cant believe we are 18 games into the season and the D has ZERO goals again.

looking at the Draft prospects there are quite a few d-men under 6'.... Not sure I want to go there.... Sportsnet only has 7 d-men over 6' in the top 31 picks... ouch..

and only 2 in the top 15.... UGH... Not a great year

Yeah that style really showed itself against the Penguins.... and there has been others games...

I agree on Kane... I really would like to keep him... he is exactly the kind of player you need in the playoffs when the games tighten up.

No matter what happens they have to find a good d-man in this draft ( preferably someone that can play sooner then later) but I think that only happens if they win the lottery.
The price for a d-man that can help us now IMHO is too steep for Buffalo to pay... we still have holes to fill in the forward ranks.
