There's still room in the game for big guys too, though. I'm just saying, if everyone is looking at small fast guys, let those guys get taken at the top and you can find better value. The other teams will be chasing diminishing returns throughout the early rounds as the small guys keep getting picked and the big guys will be there later.

Don't be a slave to the paradigm, skill is skill

Absolutely. But speed/skating is one of the more important ones, especially for D men in today's league.

If a big guy can skate, awesome. If he can't, no bueno.

A huge reason Sam Reinhart can't play center in the NHL is his lack of speed/quickness. It prohibits him from creating offense or carrying the puck effectively

I've had a rough year too. 3-3 right now. Current matchup is close, so not sure if I'll be 4-3 or 3-4 after this week.
- HonkFortheGoose

3 of my losses are to the top 3 in division, all close

the coin fell the other way too often for me to start the year

I need a 6 or 7 week winning streak now

Sure, but what if his other attributes are superior to the remaining fast guys in every category but speed?

I think you take the big guy

Depends on the gap.

What big D men that can't skate well are considered high end in the league anymore?

Chara is too old to really judge

Burns can skate
Parayko can skate
Hedman can skate

The last player that fit that description was Chara, in his prime, about 7 years ago.

How big is your apartment, and how much does it cost for your dad to have the work done for you?

Does it really matter ?

You’re coming at me when everyone on here has a wife that babies them that cleans ,cooks , laundry , takes care the kids , does everything in the house Hate to break it to you but that’s basically a cleaning lady

I have not had the privilege of having a wife yet so I have to get a fake wife that does not love me and uses me for money excuse me

You guys would be as lost as I am if you did not have a wife to take care of you don’t even play

Yeah among NHL elite defensemen. I'm not suggesting with the 5th overall pick you go off the board and take a 7'2" defenseman to be cool. I'm saying in the second round, if say 7 dmen have been taken, and they're all small speed guys, instead of digging into the lower end of the speed guys, take a big man who isn't fast

Edit: one way to find value is to buck the trends. IF everyone is buying an SUVS, you can get a great deal on a sedan

Besides obvious troll, I'll play.

This is not marriage in 2017, and hasn't been marriage since at least 1996.

This

I have a good wife. She's a nice lady and a good cook. She means well and she loves me. But she is the source of most of the households problems. I can barely keep up fixing all the stuff she breaks(and let's not get started on the car). And the things she breaks are never a matter of "Go to Target and buy a new one". It's always some discontinued part or a matter of hiring some specialist after two other guys won't even take the job.

This is not even a little bit true.

I have lived on my own, for a long time, without having anyone picking up after me.

My wife and I share responsibilities around the house.

it's not that hard.

I've been with my girlfriend for 7 years. I do most of the cooking (because I like it) and we split the housework and pet work. If I told her that it was her job, she would laugh at me.

I'd be shocked to find a millenial woman who would willingly bear 100% of domestic tasks

I'm not married, but my b/f and I split up the household chores. Somehow I ended up with the laundry, but he does clean the bathrooms (we have 3). So I guess it's a pretty even split.

We both vacuum and pick up our own stuff throughout the week. He takes care of most of the yard work, but I do most of the cooking. So, seems pretty even to me.

My attitude is to do the stuff around the house when it needs to be done. That way you dont have to talk about it. Theres nothing worse than talking about who needs to do what

Pretty much. My b/f had lived on his own for years before I moved in with him. He had his own routine and it was his house so we just kind of kept it that way. And since that worked fine for us, we kept it the same pretty much when we bought the new house together. His method for laundry was horrifying (just put whatever in the washer until it's full, no sorting, etc) which is why I took that over. I'm sorry, but I don't want my gym clothes washed with my work clothes.

If I get home before him on garbage day, I take it out and vice versa. He ends up running and unloading the dishwasher, but that's because I never actually put anything in it. I always just wash my dishes and put them away right away.

4th line is either

Nolan- Criscuolo-Girgs

or

Moulson-Girgs-Nolan.

Either one of those is the worst 4th line in hockey
