Ive been on this bandwagon for a while. ROR put up his best offensive numbers at wing IIRC.

You'd be giving a lot of responsibility to either jack or sam though. ROR's matching up against other teams top lines so either jack has to buckle down or you make Sam the shut down guy. He did alright when he was at centre defensively but his production was shot. Not sure if the trade off is worth it.

RHN is super underrated
He’s a pretty good defensive center
So he can Anchor the 3rd line,
and take some defensive responsibility off O’Reilly which will lead to him scoring more

I think it would be a great idea

And Kane isn’t signing in Edmonton
So we could still take a run at him as a UFA
Or JvR, Neal, etc if we wanted

Eichel, O’Reilly & RNH would be one of the beat center groups in hockey

I’d even add a conditional 2nd to make the trade happen
Or a mid level prospect like Fasching or Cj Smith

I think the biggest problem we are having this year is the 3rd line

If u have RHN on it...
-they should be able to score more
-can play in defensive situations to free up O’Reilly’s line to play more offensive

Adding RNH would help this team more than ANY other reasonable addition we’ve discussed in here
