Kyle Okposo really needs to go.

Sabres are in a no win situation with Kane. Sign him and you have a lights out offensive player. You also have a very irresponsible player and person on top of that.

Don't sign him and everything you hoped to get when you traded for him gets throw back down the wishing well in hopes it returns in 6-8 years.

It's a tough choice but I say sign him. You have to. You need a makeup for all the things offensively that Reinhart, Eichel, Okposo, Moulson and our whole defense are not. We're dead last in goals per game. Where do you go from here?

I really don't think that matters to Botterill. He has to deal with the assets he inherited here. That's not to say he won't sign him, just that it won't factor into his decision. At the end of the day, the question is: does Evander Kane at whatever his contract price make this team better. How the previous regime obtained him is irrelevant.
