Have to disagree. Kane is going to bring a 1st+ easy. He's been placed as the #1 most coveted tradable player now that Duchene has been dealt, and GMJB is said to have been fielding many calls about him. We're in a seller's market right now, plenty of teams looking to add scoring and Kane keeps lighting the lamp.

Anyone heard anything about anything? Feels like the team is in a black hole.

If Montreal does decide to go into rebuild mode, is there a way to trade for Weber? The only way I could see it working would be if they took Okposo back. Is there any deal you could think of that Montreal would take? Say Weber for KO, McCabe and a 2nd? Also, I wouldn't mind going after Jack Johnson as a free agent next summer. Need defensemen who play defense.

which Jack Johnson does not do. He's one of the worst defensive guys out there at his minutes.

Hope you're right. Whatever we get isn't going to be as good as Kane, though. Even if you get the 25th pick in the draft, you're not getting Kane. It's a no brainer to keep him IMO, but it looks like he's gone

Agreed. Kane will be the best piece involved. But, if it's a known that he'll be moving on to bright lights and big money, than we have no choice but to trade him. I wouldn't mine seeing a solid prospect and a 1st as a return. Taking 2 Dmen in the 1st round of this upcoming draft sound pretty good.

Yes, they have the money to do both. They don't have the money to do both and make the other additions they need to become a championship contender.

No No No you guys said you were getting a power forward He has always been very streaky which is frustrating almost as frustrating as him being built like a tank and playing a soft game

Moving moulson and bogosian in one off season would be impressive. I dont see how carlson and kane come here at less than 7mil. Im not even sure how you'd convince Carlson to sign here after this team finishes bottom 5 this year. what's the sales pitch?
