You tried comparing Chicago's #1 center to our #2.

A better example would be using ROR's 2015-16 year, where he was our #1 center, and was leading the NHL in ice time for forwards (so pleanty of O zone work)

He had 60 points in 71 games

The next year as our "number 2" center for (even though he played as our #1 for the first 21 that Eichel was out) he had 55.

A whopping 5 point difference

Count me as one of those who think these line changes are actually a step in the right direction. Certain players shouldn’t play together. I don’t feel Kane and Eichel had chemistry. Sure they banged home a couple two on ones...but pommer and Girgensons also have done that with Jack. I would like to see Sam stay with Jack. But he’ll be fine with the line he is on. Kane gives ROR some much needed speed. I don’t understand the argument that Kane is the only one who can keep up to Jack. When do you ever see Jack fly all the way up the ice? He always gears down when he hits the line. And if he doesn’t he’s heading for the net on his own. You need guys to come in at levels and jack needs guys that understand how to get to an area. Pommer does that. Zemgus drives the net.
