Fitz,it is about trading to someone who wants to win now. We are not in that mode. So you trade him to get prospects ,that may have played a few games in nhl,or maybe isnt quite ready,but has huge upside. Your question is exactly what murray did. Tried to make trades to get better right now and we were not ready .he sacrificed all of our assets,picks,prospects etc.

The entire culture sucks. Eichel and a few players ran bylsma out of buffalo. He was and idiot,but the players did it. You would think they would be trying hard out there with new coach,not happening. Ray Ferraro tweeted the other night, the sabres have NO COMPETE. Guys standing around. This is a very messed up organization

If it was pure hockey talent and the player who makes you alot better in the playoffs,it is kane easily. He is fast strong and in a 7 game series would wear teams down.. he plays fast and reckless. But there is alot more to this question
