Really curious to see how Jon Marchessault's next contract goes. 30G/51PTS last year. Now this:
29G/72PTS pace
20.8 shots per-60 minutes (4th in NHL)
55% Corsi% (+5.6% team)
57% Expected Goal% (+4.8% team)
Just crazy numbers. $750k this year!
File this under - Florida has worse managment than the Sabres
(frank)ers gave us a floating holiday this year instead of today off, first time - homiedclown
We never have this day off and I ran out of sick days (i'm sick)... And I only have one vacation day left for the year. I don't even get Veterans day off.

National Hockey League fans would understand if this veteran forward was to ask for a trade. Buffalo Sabres' Matt Moulson has sat out 10 games this season as a healthy scratch and could benefit from a change of scenery.
The question remains: how will it come to it? According to TSN, there's been rumours he could waived, bought out or even traded. Moulson has not recorded a point in 12 games this season, while he is in the fourth year of a five-year, $25 million contract.
Moulson, who recorded three straight 30-goal seasons with the New York Islanders from 2009-2012, could be the upfront boost a rival club needs for the playoff run, and could meet expectations if he is given the chance.
"Once you start listening to everything else, I think that comes back to just knowing yourself and what you do, Moulson told the Buffalo News.
"I think a lot of people say things that don't know what I do on a daily basis as a person. I don't really let that bother me. I think what my family thinks of me is probably the most important."
Moulson has already proven he can bounce back when he tallied 14 goals and 32 points last season, after a quiet 2015-16 campaign. He could do it again, elsewhere.

I'm sure the Sabres could use more pucks or something

Friedman wondered if the Arizona Coyotes might flip center Derek Stepan at some point but wasn’t sure if they would. He notes the Buffalo Sabres aren’t moving Jack Eichel or Ryan O’Reilly. “And unless you think Sam Reinhart is a center, he’s probably not the answer to your question either.”
SPECTOR’S NOTE: Of those mentioned by Friedman (and he’s not saying any of them are available), Nugent-Hopkins seems the most likely trade candidate. He’s among the few brights spots for the Oilers this season and I think they’d like to shed salary before Connor McDavid’s big contract kicks in next season.
RNH’s trade value is probably high right now and I believe there could be considerable interest if he becomes available by the trade deadline. Of course, his $6 million annual salary through 2020-21 is a sticking point, one that makes an offseason move more likely.
