Why I don't like it:
No collar ties
The crest under the horizontal stripe says NY for Shattenkirk and has an "A" for Zucc's assistant captaincy. It's dumb.

I think the swap of the A and C instead of NY is a pretty cool use of it. Adidas has been more fake collar ties than anything, so prefer if not actually using ties, they eliminate them.

Like Jimbo said it could have been their plan to get him a few months on the NA ice sheet down in Hartford then let hium really showcase his skills at the WJC and give him a ton of confidence before coming to NY

WJC will also be held on a NA sheets of ice, as it's in Buffalo this year. So he might have a slight advantage compared to kids playing overseas. That Czech team is interesting. They will have Chytil and Necas, both 1st round picks along with Zadina and Skarek. Those two are also expected to go in the first round this year.

I'd say so, there's always a slight chance one of them could be part of a trade, ever so slightly, and then you have a jersey always to remind you they traded away a young potential home grown star
