3) Eichel Pile On. So Jack Eichel is getting dragged by his local media in a way that feels very similar for Oiler fans who remember Taylor Hall somehow being the problem on a team that is completely awful. One of the ways in which he’s getting trashed by the out-moded media is in plus/minus. Eichel is a brutal -8 on the year. As Jonathan Willis of Sportsnet points out though, that’s hot trash. Eichel is actually only -1 in 5v5 goal differential. The extremely flawed +/- stat counts shorties against and goals scored with the net empty against you. Bad teams that find themselves down late in games get even worse in this measure because they are the ones pulling their goalies. The truth is that Jack Eichel is the only Sabre player with a positive goal differential at all. He is +1 in all situations. Kane is 0 (even). Everyone else is negative. Eichel is without a doubt the best thing going for that organization.

had surgery tuesday, minor but it turned me very angry

the goalies, ROR (AWFUL to start the season), Okposo, Rasmus?

I think the rest of the team is what they are and they just suck.

Kane Eichel Pominville - no issue

Pouliot O'Reilly Reinhart - Looks good against other teams 4th liners, BP in our top 6...we suck, ROR inconsistent, Reinhart, I don't want to get rid of him, he will be quality talent

Girgs Larsson Cirsculo - I played better lines in summer FHL

Nolan Josefson Okposo - this line isn't terrible, 7 million dollar man on it though, thanks Murray

Moulson - epitome of what is wrong with America

Griffith - parties WAYYY to hard in the players lounge


Scandella Risto - don't transition to offense fast enough

McCabe Antipin - not very good at defense, not bad in the offensive zone

Bealiou Falk - hopefully our forwards have possession while this pair is out there

Gorges - expected

Bogo - every team I played on had a guy who management thought was good and a key piece to the team, even though the player was a huge band-aid

Lehner still needs therapy

Johnson - back up whatever

ROR is capable of doing more, but he’s put in so many defensive situations
For him to have 16pts, considering that AND that the PP has been just awful...
