So unfortunately according Bob and the TSN guys they don’t think TMac is in any trouble. Seems we will be sticking with him and will rely on Chia to make a move to fix things. (frank) this stupid ass team |

Nah. Big tits are gross especially as they age. A nice ass stays a nice ass for decades if taken care of.
Tits are seriously over rated. Usually by young guys that have not seen them flop off to the sides a thousand times. - Iggysbff
Yes... well spoken,
Tits are great on the young or as bolt ons, down the road... not so much, where a firm well cared for ass is for decades. |

Sweet, I'm counting on Benning bending chia over to help your team this year by raping it for futures.

He’s up there too, but as you mentioned, seems Monahan is leading that team. Have to figure Tavares would get a lot of votes right now too. |

So Eberle went emo today complaining about how hard it is to play in popular hockey markets... Poor muffin

Meh. He didn’t really say that much. Just lost confidence and hard to get it back when under a spotlight all the time.
Hope he and Hall both win a cup away from Chia Pete |

You’re not wrong per se. and it’s certainly difficult to feel bad for a millionaire athlete if in fact that’s what he was fishing for.
But I dunno, he was asked the questions and he answered them honestly. Should he have lied? And it’s not like he went to seek out an edmonton reporter to tell his story and chirp edmonton. Quite the opposite
I dunno that it was ‘fire’ but more just kinda reality. He admitted that he didn’t put up the numbers in the playoffs and explained that maybe that was due to confidence after getting ripped so hard.
I’m also unsure if he meant the media far more than the fans. For sure the media ripped him, but I think they were/are generally abit more objective while some/many fans just get utterly ridiculous and full of hyperbole with their hate. But he chose not to label an entire fan base that he clearly gives a Fuk about. I mean he certainly coulda if he truly wanted to.
We can say alot about eberles time here, but he was always pretty classy and humble. |

(frank), he's a good player. He might, not bang and crash and go to the dirty areas , but so what? Kassian does all those things and he isn't a fraction as valuable to this team as Ebs was.
So what does this team need to do today bounce back next year, and sustain it long term?

Step 1: Fire Lowe, Moss, Chia, and McLellan... Hire Krueger and Nelson. |

Yep, he put up points every year. Guys who bang and crash like kass are generally dime a dozen. Guys who put up points like ebs are far far tougher to find.
Fact is his numbers aren’t just decent, they’re like Among the best right wingers over the last half decade +.
Don’t have to like his style, but we’re an objectively better team with him than without or with strome. This isn’t even debateable
I dunno that they can do all that much really.
We’re cap strapped going forward, This was the year we had some money to play with.
Hell, as u well know we might have to actively get even worse by dealing nuge to save cash.
And Have to kind of hope both yam and puju work out and give us quality cheap elc years.
I’d potentially forego this years pick and try and move it in some combo with bear/jones and sekera (to send cash the other way- russel and looch are pretty much untradeable) and see if we can somehow acquire a true stud defender.
But can’t deal those pieces for short term help unless we’re in the hunt trying to make a cup run. U deal those now for a UFA to save ur job and still miss the playoffs—>Reinhart level bad deal
They’re kinda fuked and stuck with what we got unless he pulls some Magic I think |

There is almost virtually no chance a trade that could save the year and save Chia is available. So don’t let him do anything. Get rid of him. Ride out the rest of the year with an interim tag. Re-boot in May-June. |

To Trade Jordan Eberle for a 3rd line slug who is basically a 15 goal scorer, is a shame. To trade Taylor Hall a top 10 scorer in the NHL top 3 fastest skaters in the league, for a shut down defenseman who may get you 10 assists per year? And he debatable if he's even a great shut down guy? Yakupov with structure looks like he just needed a little patience is at 24 looking to be a 30 goal guy in Colorado. What the Hell are they doing in Edmonton? This is a team with no scoring depth now and they have McDavid. They set there franchise back 10 years with this incompetent management and i think the players know it. They have no hope of winning now. Even a team like Vancouver looks like it has more depth in there system after 3 years rebuilding. And now there talking about trading Nugent-Hopkins for a defensman because they have no depth on D? Nurse and Klefbolm arnt even who they though they would be, 3,4 D men at most. This team is a dumpster fire still! after winning McDavid by beating the odds in a fluke lotto they still found a way to mess it up! Is Lowe and McTavish still in this nepotistic organization? Didn't they also Trade Matthew Barzel for ECHL Griffin Reinhart? Gave away 2 time defending Stanley Cup Champ PP quarterback Justin Schultz for a bag of pucks after proclaiming his Norris potential? Career year 50 point Sam Gagner, 8 point game Oiler for retired Teddy Purcell? Devin Dubnyk has been a top 5 statistic goalie in the NHL since the Oilers traded him because they were impatient, now the Oilers got goaltending depth questions and searching for that true number 1 seemingly. Magnus Paiiajvi in STL is like a solid 3rd line defensive shutdown speedster chipping in 15 goals per year on the top team in the Western Conference, giving them what the Oilers are lacking, depth. Am I off in my assessments here? Not to mention mishandling Dresitil and Puliarjvi in there rookie years when they should not have been in the NHL based on merit and stifling there development possibly by missing out on WJHC that could of even furthered there potential confidence ceiling? Now there a slow team with no scoring depth, weak defence and average goaltending. You can't make this stuff up! |

Unfortunately they’d probably make Keith Gretzky interim. He should be fired with Chia though. He was one of Chias moronic yes men in Boston and still is. |
