i don't see how moving risto off of PP1 makes PP1 better. its like his greatest strength.

Then you have Hodgson and Leino. Ehrhoff which we got out of scott-free. ROR is producing ok, give him 2 faster wingers and he's fine.

Okposo is a bit scarier, but he's been heating up as well. Once we're good, Okposo will be an overpaid, but respectable 3rd liner, but he plays a style well suited to the playoffs.

ROR is a good player, he may have just been paid a bit much, but if mittelstadt and someone else can move Okposo to line 3, it'll be fine

The obvious bpa in all the drafts they had the top pick were forwards. That's not where they screwed up.

Top 10 pick you go BPA. If it's a forward, take him and deal reinhart/nylander

Ah interesting. I remember a few years ago his columns would have a question mark instead of his face, and then he started doing video, but i had no idea what that meant or if it was a thing. I still don't really get his story. I think he's just a hockey fan who got someone's phone number and then pestered others for theirs, right?

In terms of production per game played though, he's objectively the worst contract on the team.

ROR is still producing 16pts in 24g with Pouliot (who should be a 3rd liner) and D who have sucked. His F/O ability is good too. Idk, i don't consider him a bad contract yet, because he's still producing. He may be a little overpaid, but he's still good

Yes he is terrible, but we are not up against the cap. The sabres are most likely not bringing in a "quick fix" high priced free agent .

Next year will be another building year.
We have plenty of young guys with lower contracts to fill in.
Just keep him and pay him to sit.
Why extend owing him any $ into 2019?

That's why I would waive him and tell him he doesn't have to report to Roch. He can sit home and collect his cash. At least that way you can use the million in savings and the extra roster spot for a cheap FA who could bring more than 0p -8

Is that a good rule though? We will probably be top5 this year unless drastic changes happen between now and then...we'll say that the "ratings" stay the same and 3/5 of those players are defenders...given the state of the team I'd say we don't go BPA, but go BDA, thoughts?
