Not sure what u mean here
Fasching is much bigger than Hurley, more of the power forward type
Much better scorer as well
I think Hurley hasn’t scored more than 5 goals in any of his college seasons
Fasching is a legit scorer at every level so far
Idk if Hurley will even make it to the AHL - jdfitz77
He's already made $110M on the Sabres. A ~42% RoI as of last year.
Plus he still owns 2 energy companies, a country music label, not to mention the Bills, Bandits, Americans, Harborcenter, 716... - Wetbandit1
I don't think money is the issue. Big name players do not want to come here and it will take 20 years to farm a Stanley Cup champion team. We always have to play second or third fiddle to available UFA's. It is becoming less and less appealing for an Elite or even good NHL player to sign here. Makes it tough to win a cup.
Thanks, I must have the wrong vision of each in my head. - IonSabres
No worries
For what it’s worth,
I’ve never been a huge Fasching fan
He doesn’t have the speed or skating ability we seem to want
However,
he has improved his skating
And is a talented goal scorer around the net
Imo,
he will be an NHL player
If not with us,
then we should be able to trade him
He’s in the “B” prospect range with Bailey, Baptiste, Smith & Rodrigues
he has been healthy and is 11th in scoring for rochester though
my guess is it's more about what situation he is put in if he makes the big club, if ever called up again
then again I feel that way about all call ups
if your calling up a semi skilled player, don't bury him on the 4th line with the big club - homiedclown
Goal scoring
He’ll never be an “assist” guy
He’s in a group with Bailey, Baptiste, Rodrigues & Smith talent wise
They’re all better skaters than him,
so he’s probably gonna be the odd man out here
He can be a trade piece for us though
I’m sure there’s teams that would like to acquire him

but bailey, baptise and e rod has only combined played 21 games, fasching has played all 19
And he's definitely been better the past 2 weeks or so. - Wetbandit1
He will never live up to the contract he signed, even last year as well as he played he wasn’t even close to being worth that kind of coin.
For 7 mil you better score more than 25 goals , this year we are going to have a bunch of people that don’t meet their contract. And the only one that will, is most likely going to get traded.
