Smart for Giroux's point totals. Not the Flyers point totals - YuenglingJagr
It's not just about Giroux's point totals. This will extend the period that Giroux remains a top scorer and player in my opinion. With the center prospects the Flyers have it also make sense.

If only passing through waivers was a foolproof way of knowing how a player is going to turn out. NHL history is full of players that passed through waivers at one time or another and went on to become very good NHL players. - MJL
I'd wager most were younger than 25 years old. Weal was drafted in 2010. How much development time does he need? Will you say the same thing in 5 years? We have Konecny, I don't see the need for Weal.

NHL history is also ripe with players who were late bloomers. There is no such thing as not needing as many good players as you can get. Konecny has zero to do with Weal.

You can have too many small players on the roster and get beat out on puck battles...
I don't think he's a good player and you disagree. I'm ok with that. Cheers. |

You have a reading comprehension problem, which is why you respond arrogantly with the LOL okay. I didn't say anywhere that Giroux scoring means the Flyers are good. |

First of all, in our conversation I did not state that Weal is a good player. I simply replied to your original post that you don't know what kind of player he is going to ultimately be and neither do I and that the jury is still out on that. Good players are good players, small, medium, or large.

"It's not about giroux scoring...it is about extending the time he remains a top scorer..."
Flyers center prospects have nothing to do with not playing their three best centers at center right now. |

Strike two. I'll ask you again where does it say that the Flyers are good if Giroux is scoring?
The depth of center prospects the Flyers have including recently drafting Patrick is part of the reason why they made the move in my opinion. |

No it does not imply that. That is your failed read. Other replies that I have made to you reinforce the belief that the jury is still out on Weal as a player. You are the one who is making a final judgement on the player after less than one season of NHL games.

MJL's biggest downfall is his failure comprehend implications. Wording sentences a certain way may lead the reader to think one thing or another, be that intentional or not. His issue is when he unintentionally implies something, he is unable to comprehend it, repeatedly saying "I never said that", which prolongs an argument that really should have been settled on common ground. On the flip side, he is unable to comprehend when others imply things, which results, more or less, in the same thing: arguing over ridiculous semantics. It's tough, but we're working on it. |

Discussing posters is against the code of conduct.
Secondly, misread implications is on the person making them, not the person who said something in plain english. You're simply wrong. That's not an implication.
The below statement does not in any way imply that the Flyers are a good team just because Giroux is scoring. The comment was obviously about one lineup change and how it affects the Flyers moving forward.
"It's not just about Giroux's point totals. This will extend the period that Giroux remains a top scorer and player in my opinion. With the center prospects the Flyers have it also make sense. |

Flyers PK has been bad for a while. The whole rotating the top 2 guys of the box has them chasing and feels like something Lappy brought to the PK unit and it hasn't looked effective - looks dangerous and too reactionary IMO.
