yup do nothing.... which from what Ronnie said is precisely what he intends to do.
- landros 2
They aren't doing nothing. They're in a draft and development phase of team building. This isn't going to change that.

I cancelled my season tickets 2 years ago. I get a phone call every month asking me to come back. My same seats are still available in the lower bowl. They are hurting.
I would need to see significant moves made for me to believe were a playoff team. Sign tavares. Trade sanheim for oel. Draft svechnikov. Trade Elliot and simmer to Minnesota for dubnyk and a 1st rounder. All in one off season type stuff to make me believe we are a playoff team. - Tfaehner
I hear you re the tix, but according to sales figures from multiple sources, they are still playing to 96% capacity this year. |

Same here with the phone calls. Aside from not being able to do it from a lifestyle standpoint, I just have no interest in going to 41 games a year at $50 (plus bridge and parking) a pop. |

I think they will be on the Flyers next season if not sooner, but they are waiver exempt till 19-20 and 20-21 respectively. Myers is also waiver exempt till 20-21 so if he starts next season in the AHL it's not an issue for me. Then you have this defense with Myers as the first call up.

If any I would choose 4 but I don't think it's going to happen. The first thing I would do is reluctantly break up the top line. - MJL
Precisely point 1 and 4 will do exactly NOTHING
The best players of of now need to be on different lines
G Top-line
93 2nd line
14 3rd line
Also no need to let COTS play for 20 something minutes |

I get all of that.
My issue is with him dismissing the fans at last night's game.
My issue is with him claiming they have been playing well. you dont play well for 9 games and somehow lose them all.
He came across as tone deaf last night, as out of touch. he totally dismissed the fans as not understanding what they are seeing. - ggunky
I don't see how he dismissed the fans. Should he have appeased the fans by telling them something that he doesn't believe? I think he fully understands the frustration of the fan base which is why he held the press conference.

I disagree he is not a spare part. No I would not trade Weal for Maroon. Why? - MJL
So what is he? Right now he is a scratch. I don't think he is a future piece either. Right now he is kind of just a guy.
For me he is an easy move without upsetting the whole roster. If I did it for Maroon that adds size to my wings. But he is also skilled enough to play on a third line. His deal is up after this season so it's not a long term commitment.
But it doesn't just have to be Maroon.

Yeah the beginning push from the flyers brought in a waive of ticket purchases for the season. The back half of the year will tail off and it'll probably come around 92 for the year. Will be the lowest in 20 some years. Also 96 isn't exactly good were a team that usually sits at 100+. Even in down years usually 98. Couple thousand each game over 41 games and you're talking about they're losing probably half a million in ticket sales at least. |

Typical meaningless GM speak. Did you really expect him to say:
"Well, lets face it, except for Couturier and maybe Giroux, our vets are playing like crap right now. Voracek is playing like he recently had a lobotomy and Simmonds needs to just admit he's hurt and come out of the lineup for a game or 2. I wish I had never acquired Filppula or signed Weise because both of them are playing like crap too. The kids, other than Provorov, are all having the usual ups and downs and that is to be expected, it's up to the vets to pick them up and help the team win some games and they've failed miserably".
Hextall goes on,
"The coach certainly needs to do a better job too, especially in just settling this team down and with our PK which is simply atrocious right now. I love Lappy, but he's just about out of chances here. As far as our goaltending goes, Elliott has been fine but Neuvirth needs to get his head out of his ass. Look, it's not easy to win in this league when you are missing your only 2 legit veteran NHL dmen, hopefully AMac can get his game back to where it was prior to his injury soon and Gudas, well, if he can't stop being a (frank)ing moron when he gets back, I'll ship his ass out of here as soon as possible." So yeah, I'm (frank)ing frustrated right now, we may or may not be a playoff team, but there is no excuse for playing as bad as we played tonight and I don't even want to hear that they were tired."
Good luck ever hearing a GM say something like that. - BiggE

Myers as good as he's been needs to play hockey. He's injury after injury at every level. I think he's got a minimum of 1 more year in the ahl. However I also thought sanheim would be the one down and Morin up this year. So what do I know |

Right now he is a young promising player that the coach determined needed a break from the lineup for whatever reason. Last year in 23 games Weal was a play driving winger with a scoring touch. 20 games later he is a spare part and kind of just a guy.
Why do we want Maroon? Seriously. |
