Do you realize that if Coma Man's plan ever works out he is going to be strapped with a 20 million dollar cap hit on two old and less productive and not worth their 10 million a year. 93 and 28 will be holding them back and will be totally untradeable as they decline. Schenn would have fit the plan much better. If he resigns Simmonds who at this point is useless and the slowest skater in the league it would indicate Hex really is brain dead. Simmonds brings nothing to this team at present. Like I said some of us are winners and then there is well you know.

Listen kid, and I call you kid because your posts read like a 16 year old kid's temper tantrum. You probably have some valid points hidden in there underneath all your faux hyperbole and colorful sobriquets for Hextall and Hakstol. And I would probably take you a little more seriously if you toned it down and stopped way over exaggerating every point. People would probably engage with you a little more positively instead of just glazing out.

There is some truth to your point that as they get older, their cap hits will be way more than what they contribute on the ice, most if not all teams are in that same boat with 1 or 2 or more players. It is also likely that the cap itself will be higher at that time so the damage won't be quite as extensive as you so colorfully point out.

As for Simmonds being the 'slowest skater in the league', well, we can just agree to disagree if you really believe that.

I honestly don't know if Schenn would have fit the plan better. I do know he is having a very good season so far, which is not really a surprise since he had several really good seasons with the Flyers, that is why he was able to fetch two first rounders. But as he was tried in almost every spot up and down the lineup by three different coaches. But lets face it, he was never going to be the #1 center here that he is in St. Louis. So there is that.

We can agree to disagree on the potential of those two first round picks compared to what we already know about Schenn, but I would hardly call Hextall brain dead for making a move that many across the hockey world felt was a great trade in the long term.

My goaltending has dipped too, even if it's still top 3. Hellebuyck came down, Dubnyk came down too -- but I didn't start Dubnyk once during his 3 game shutout streak either lol.

Did pick up Leddy though who is on fire. Helps balance out Karlsson sucking ass.
