You see him getting helped up, he’s got a concussion for sure - KreiderBomb
I DON'T doubt he could be hurt, I just don't think it was that dirty a hit, unfortunate result. Gotta look at things without the homer goggles on sometimes. |

I think it was a board, not sure how he gets a concussion from that hit though. Hopefully just stunned a bit. |

Hopefully, you're correct in that Chytil was only "just stunned a bit" in absorbing that hit, in which only one foot by that checker, Johnsson came off the ice.
But it can take many players of contact sports up to 3 or more days to begin feeling concussion symptoms after sustaining contact to their head of some severity. It just took Zib that time to do so, after he had already suffered 5 known prior concussions during his pro career, if not any others before that time.

With Eklund posting that blog on Sat. night, of the Sharks being very interested in Nash, it's surprising that Tom hasn't yet posted, "That means the Rangers will be extending him for 7 additional seasons at $7.8M per year, when he will hit 40". |

With Montreal's last 2 wins of 10-1 tonight and 6-3 in their prior game both over Detroit, adding their 8-3 October win vs. Ottawa, gives them 24 goals scored in those 3 contests. For their other 25 games, they have scored a combined total of only 54 goals. |

Despite Ek's rumor he posted Sat. with the Sharks being interested in Nash, rumors in Canada have that when teams contact Gorton, they are predominantly interested in d'men, in namely McDonagh, Smith or Skjei. Skjei is a 100% NO, along with McDonagh at this stage, especially given the team's inconsistencies defensively, and appearing to trust riding only on Hank, unless another reliable backup goalie is acquired.
Trading McDonagh would decimate this team's chances for good, and even more so now with Zib out indefinitely, depleting their offense. Hank cannot afford to face any greater amount of shot attempts alone per game, in being on pace to make 72 starts. He will be worn out come March.
Gorton needs to acquire a reliable backup immediately if they will not even give Pavelec another chance to start. Hank's current streak of 14 straight starts were made in a 32 day stretch from Oct. 31st to Dec. 1st, but without a single back to back date game. Now with 33 of their 56 remaining games on the road, including 9 on back to back dates. So it's still very likely as it was prior to the season, that Hank's backup question mark may prove most to be the difference to this team's 82 games result than their hole at center, for which they didn't suspect they would have regarding either issue. |

Usually when we see concussions it's the hits to the back of the head that are the worst, back of the head hitting the boards/ice or even in football on the tackles when the back of the head hits the turf. Rarely do you see concussions from hits like that but that's not to say they don't happen. Hopefully it's not a concussion. |

What if we traded Nash for a defenseman and McD+for Draisaitl

To me your getting a legit #1C with his prime still ahead of him. I think anytime you get the best player in the deal you should do it and in this case Draisaitl is the best player. The cap hit is almost a wash with Nash's 7.8 coming off the books in the offseason. - nyrangers9479
the Rangers need Nash's cap hit that's coming off the books to help them sign Miller, Skjei, Vesey and Hayes next contracts
of course if Miller or Hayes are included in any potential Draisatl deal, that changes things
but, as it stands, the Rangers have cap trouble next year even with Nash coming off books
Girardi goes from a 2.6 mil cap ht to a 3.6 too |

Right under our noses and never even sniffed out this deal N J ....
Henrique ? solid player is the cost to fix your weaknesses and deal from strength
Gorts ? what have you done to fix our weakness? center ?
and there ya go... bare naked exposed ,we got exactly what we deserve ...
losing Z bad just opens up the leverage meter for the other teams ...
thank god the lack of games now is a great time to deal with but for real as
a fan i have seen the train a comin..for NY to leave the season so up in the air when you have such a good core that needs a fix with the D surplus ....
stop gap with a decent 3rd line center with a pick " NOOOO
make the BIG move and get the top center you can with D surplus ...NOOO
N J congrats ..N Y R shame on you riskin the whole season with this act...
You pay 4 mill for smith ? when you could have taken that $$ added some from the cap (2 mill) and gotten a very good center for 4-5 mill and still have sum for a griity type 4 th liner
when the position(center) which has gotten the most demanding with the speed 2 way systems employed in recent yrs is stripped down (see Oscar & STep moves) one naturally thinks it will be rebuilt ? quickly? had the resources
just allocated them different than common sense would dictate ...
NYR has sum nerve putting a flawed team all season on ice and we the dimb ass fans buying it... I called it from the start , this summer as i anxousily waited to hear the news (plan) on how the NYR center slots were being re built ?
Well the answer now is clear , lets not really go after the cup and lets try to take our time and use 17-18 as a rebuild type yr ? well all I got to say Is ... F U
if we hit the skids now or start the 500 type team it is with this line up
we deserve it all in spades with the apprehensive act compared to the real operators in the lg. ( PItt always in on the moves ) who get things done ...
Sad to hear Z bad ,get back healthy and soon,
D D is our answer with a Peter Holland riding in to help UGhhhhhhh - Dundee13
What are you talking about? Devils got Vatenan for Henrique. Besides fact they wouldn’t trade with us, if they did the only comparable player we could give them for Henrique would’ve been Skjei. Not happening. And what quality center was available for 5-6 million last off season? Zero!! Pitt isn’t any deeper at center than us... what if they lost their top center? Crosby |

I spent $227 even though tickets will be relatively cheaper as it gets closer and no one is going because no one around here wants to see the Sabres and Sabres fans probably don't want to travel 6 hours to watch them get blasted in the ass in the cold, I don't think this Classic was thought out enough, there will be a lot of fans who will go see USA vs Canada outdoors a few days earlier |

I'm hoping that will be the case Vin. Me & my brothers might head down to Citifield that morning & see if we can get cheap tix of desperate people looking to just dump. |
