scandella is a good d man for the second pair

mccabe, antipin are fine for the bottom pair

kane is perhaps a pipe dream

probably stuck with ror


so looking 2 years down the road, if no lockout

posted it before but the leafs had Kadri, JVR and Gardiner carried over from their rebuild

We had Myers, Stafford and Roy. We had to spend hella assets just to get guys the leafs already had. It really sheds light on just how pathetic that team was under both GM's

I agree he's probably way too soft on his guys and his inexperience is showing but the gameplan itself is pretty solid. The real issue is it requires quick feet, passing and of course execution.

He's trying to get a league worst blueline to do what one of the leagues best did. not hard to see why it's going wrong

I think all 6 of them have the wheels for his style of play....but they needed like all summer of doing nothing but working as a unit. Otherwise we get what we see now: learning on the fly. And its ugly.
