one of the reasons...I don't ever remember anyone calling him a franchise player at the draft...
while I agree he hasn't lived up to his 2nd-overall billing, I just think it's too early bail on him - Michael Pachla
Yeah makes sense the return would not be adequate nobody is going to "over pay" for him at this point best to just see how he turns out in a couple years as long as the bridge deal is minimal.
Yeah I know he isn't going anywhere but at this point you guys are happy with Eichel and his contract? Also, do you consider him a legit franchise center at this point? - Cptmjl
Eichel screamed of a guy that they should have done a bridge deal with. 3 years 22.5 - 24 million absolute MAX. He hasn't shown anything "generational", at a 3 year term he'd still be "moveable" if he wasn't becoming "the guy"
Pegula and Buffalo wanted him to be McDavid so bad they thought that if they paid him enough money and marketed him enough it would happen
He'll be good
He'll be an 80 point guy year to year, give or take
His defense might improve
He doesn't come across as any type of leader or the kind of guy that plays a complete game
