Well his points ect suck but the ushl is the only tier 1 junior league in the US. Nahl is tier 2 and any other junior league is tier 3. All of them are now junior a as the did away with the b and c levels they are now in tiers. The usphl top level the ncdc is also very good like d1 level players but it's now aau. I say that cause i ref some but the ushl regularly puts out nhl guys its similar to major junior in Canada full ride kids don't pay however they can go to college if they play there first

No, I know that he USHL is the top junior league in the US. Had a few friends play there. But I'm just saying compared to Canadian Major Junior and Junior A, the USHL is pretty inferior and it's kinda weak to see an overager put up a single point over 17 games, despite being so much more physically mature than the guys he's playing against.

its second to major junior in canada most kids that play there go d1. there are a lot of nhl players that played there too. I wouldnt say its pretty inferior as a ton of kids are being drafted out of college now and very high and they all played in the ushl first

I don't love him, but if we really need to have a big, mean guy playing third pairing minutes...he's exponentially more competent than Mayfield. Can't imagine he'd cost much, unless there were a ton of teams beating down VAN's door for him and the price was driven up by market demand.
