I don't see them trading a forward mid-season. Maybe they'd move Pulock, but there is a massive drop-off from Nelson to Quine/Prince/whatever other godforsaken trash-bucket fills that spot.
Somehow, I don't see a long-term solution being addressed during this season. Too much uncertainty surrounding Tavares. - eichiefs9

I don't necessarily believe Gudbranson is the type of player that would fix our issues, but I do think he's an upgrade over everyone not named Leddy, Boychuk, or de Haan. Pulock's close, but Gudbranson would get the edge because of experience.
I still would prefer to see them go big and go after Ekman-Larsson, if Chayka makes him available. - eichiefs9
He would be the prize. |

A team that covets CDH as a top pair d may trade for him and try to sign him before next July else this d will probably stand as it is. They have four months and a lot of games to play and improve their d play which is what every other team is doing. BUF is the team right now that is in reshape the team mode. Even ARI looks stand pat with the moves they made last June.
BTW Lee also played in the USHL for Jon Cooper. |

I don't think OEL buys you a cup. A trade like that can have a reverse effect like too much pressure to win, loss of depth etc. The team they have now can get you a top po seed and get to the second or third rd, after that its a crap shoot.
Tanner Fritz looks like another depth forward but good to see some depth coming from within the org.
Last night looked like they came within three minutes of making it out of the second period tied. Playing second of back to back would have made the third period a challenge but they could have gotten a point. |

Which is why the price would be high and the reason why ARI would keep him. Teams don't give away their top players. |

I think so. He immediately moves into the top pairing, bumping Boychuk back with DeHaan.
After more than a decade of rebuilding, it's finally time for the Isles to adopt the win-now mentality. JT is in his prime, and may not even be here after this season. The alternative is to take the cautious approach, and hope for better things next season. I say go for it now. |

Exactly. You need to make Arizona an offer that gets their attention. Two 1st rounders in a deep draft plus two solid prospects ought to do that. |

We should all know what's going to happen at this point. Nothing. With that said I agree with you he needs to try and improve the team at this point if he wants to sign Tavares. He'll blame the arena and whatever excuse he can come up with but the bottom line is if this team doesn't have a year better than when Tavares started he's gone IMO. |

Agreed JS this is what Snow should do, however as Cpt pointed out you have to question whether this is what we will get.

I think OEL needs to be signed if Isles are giving up 4 pieces. |

Berube was just put net for the Hawks. Watch him shut the Caps down for the rest of the game.

Idk maybe this team can figure it out? I have my doubts but adding a defenseman and or a goaltender if these guys don't get their poop together wouldn't hurt and will send the right message. I've said that in the past, "send the right message." and Snow never has |

He did only face 1 shot since coming in so there is a good chance of that happening |

If the Isles could play like that then they'd have at least 6 more wins. |

But if you don't have the cap space to sign him for top pair money it becomes moot.
You want him here for a few years which is what they did already with Boychuk and Leddy. |

He is better tban borh of them and if this is your window take it. They can score a ton of they can at d they have a shot and he can shut down a top guy in playoffs. Ladd and boychuk aren't getting younger. You get him for this year and next and have guys and picks on the system to step in |
