While the part about the lineup with pagan holidays has some merit, the birth of Christ being in the spring isn't proven nor is there any real evidence to support or disprove it. It's all speculation.

Also, it's important to note that Christians in the West celebrate Christmas on December 25th. The Eastern Churches celebrate it on January 6th.

Some have it in June, some closer to March. It's not "proven" he was born in December either.

Orthodox Christmas is the 7th this year. It varies. I forget how they do it, but it's like Easter being the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Spring equinox.
