Konecny hasn't done much of anything and been a healthy scratch. But I would also like this. Kid has some flair to him. I try to see who we got to take the roles of the 05/07 Sabres. Konecny's career probably paralleling Briere's at this point. It will never happen.

Idk, Kids excel faster than ever now. Don't they? Laine lit up the NHL last year. I get lighting up the NHL and bum are opposite ends of the spectrum, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

For Johnson its not a bad return but McGinn isn't someone I see in Buffalo's plan long term. Who knows though, he was somewhat productive while he was with Buffalo.

I don't hate Nylander, I like Nylander. I hope Nylander becomes an absolute stud. He's incredibly skilled

That doesn't change the fact that he had very poor performances at the end of the WJ's, in the tougher games, and he's had a rocky start in the AHL.

Wow. I've been of the opinion the Matt just got too comfortable with that last contract and at this stage of his life he was just mailing it in. This move seems to confirm that because those #'s tell me that they just want him as far away from this franchise as possible.

I have officially surrendered on Lehner.

I like him a ton, but I watched him sprawling out on the ice last night and thought to myself "mother of god." I thought for a long time it was just about tuning up the raw elements, and the team coming to understand that he will give up the rebound so they need to be ready.

But high glove he sucks, and given the fact that he does give up the first rebound, (or commits as hard as he does on the first move) he needs to get back faster than he can.

He needs a better coach to work with him and not try to make him into something he's not. He's got an unorthodox style and gets very little to no help from his defense most nights. Everyone female doges about how horrible the defense is and then expect Lehner to be good at the same time. It just doesn't work like that with mere mortals. Hasek could do it, because A) the team actually played defense and 2) he was the best goalie ever.

I remember hearing that he was upset with the way he was traded. I think that had more to do with the regime (that is now gone) than Buffalo itself, though.

He hates Murray, more specifically The Tank. In his interview after he was traded he ripped Murray about The Tank and how it wasn't the proper way to do things.
