Nice piece.
The Amerks are 12-5-3-2 on the season and sit in second place in the North Division after finishing near the bottom of the league for the prior three seasons.
Is that fourth category a SO loss? |

Gerbe, how do you see us getting 3 1sts and 2 2nds by the trade deadline? I see:
Kane = 1st
Gorges = 3rd
Lehner = 2nd (if traded)
Johnson = 4th (if traded)
Pouliot = 3rd (if traded) |

From who?
Trading who nets you a first? Kane...... Lehner? (No way, maybe a second)
Who else?
Girgensons? (I would say 2nd at best, but hoping for a D prospect)
Larsson (I would think I 3rd if not a 4th or later for him)
Gorges? (maybe a 3rd, cause Mike Weber)
Antipin? (I think you could get a 2nd for him if you even want to trade)
Reinhart? (I would think we want a player / top prospect not a pick for him)
Chad Johnson (3rd at best, but most likely a 4th)
So who is netting you 3 (not including ours?) and 2 seconds for you?

I don't know why they'd trade Scandella. But if they trade either of those, i hope it's for players. We don't need more chances to screw up at the draft |

You think Scandella would be moved by deadline this year?
I dont hate the idea, but I think being the main part of that trade, we would keep him longer.
ROR could only net you a 1st and 2nd if you eat some of the cap, but you would have to eat that cap for the whole term of the contract, right? |

I was thinking if ROR was moved and Sam but that was wishful thinking
I thiink realistically we’re looking at
Kane 1,2
Josh 4
Robin 3(turns into 2nd with playoffs)
Pouliot 3rd

If he's only getting a 3rd, i'd try to resign if he's open to it. The chances of getting a better player than him in the 3rd round are pretty low. 2 years, 1.5-2 per year would be good imo |

The Amerks have seen better success this season but when you look at their roster, too many of their players are career AHL players brought in specifically play AHL hockey and make the team competitive. Only Guhle, Ullmark, Nylander, Baptiste and maybe Smith and Bailey are NHL "prospects". Considering how badly Murray managed assets it makes sense |
