I am super excited about Jarry though. He's legit.

Goalies are a funny thing. I don't think I'm going out on a limb when I say that every year there seems to be a young goalie that gets called up and is very impressive then just falls into obscurity.

Probably. Gustavsson has been putting up good numbers. He's still only 19, so I'm sure we're a good three years away from seeing him sniff the NHL

I've thought he was incredible the moment I saw him win memorial cup with edm. He is legit and it has seemed to translate to the big league.

Islanders getting away with a lot of pick plays..subtle interference that sometimes is called and sometimes isnt. Reminds me of the late 90s red wings.

I'm not denying he's not the real deal. I just want to make sure he's not a flash in the pan before I start calling him better than certain players. He only as seven games under his belt, but there's reason to feel good.

I know it's just me but #99 and #66 are icons that shouldn't be touched out of respect.

I think he looks ridiculous running around with Mario's number on his back. Especially 'cause he's not even on the same planet as far as talent goes.

Any number not retired is fair game IMO. I think if Gretzky's number is retired then Mario's number should also be retired, but since its not I have no issue with a player wanting to pay homage to him.
