Yea it would create a hole. It sounds like they may move him to help out the bullpen since you still have two aces at the top

I would guess something like McD, Skjei, Fast and a top prospect or a 1st.

Obviously I was joking, but yeah, going to cost too much to get EK. I would do McD+, benefits both teams in a solid D swap, the only ? is the +. Ottawa isn't dealing from a position of strength right now.
Hoffman makes the most sense. EK isn't going anywhere, and Brass is too expensive. - Fenrir
I think there is a very real chance EK is going somewhere. OTT is a small-market Canadian team with financial issues and he's already come out and said that he is going to be paid what he's worth. Even if OTT can afford to pay him what he wants, that team is a mess right now.

Can't be McDonagh. They would be in the same spot. 1 year and then a UFA looking to get paid
