Giancarlo Stanton had a NTC and used it to get himself on the Yankees by blocking trades to two other teams
Karlsson will do the same to get his ass on the Rangers - jimbro83
Seems suspect that Jeter didn't care about that NTC in making deals. I mean, imagine Dorion going out and shopping Karlsson, having a deal with ARI, and then finding out that Karlsson exercised his NTC. |

No, it's not a sure-thing and I didn't say it was. But if you're listing, let's say, 10 teams you will accept a trade to then I think it's fair to assume that the player would at least be interested in playing for those 10 teams. Nothing is a sure-bet, but I think it's fair to assume that if he will accept a trade there then he will at least consider staying there. - eichiefs9
I'm pretty confident his 10 team list contains some combo of the Rangers, Kings, Blackhawks, Penguins, Capitals, Leafs and Sharks. Maybe a surprise team or two on their. |

The Yankees didn't trade their best pitch prospects, C. Faizer or Torres and got the NHL MVP. Huge win for the Yankees. - tomburton99
The Yankees are a perfect fit for Connor McDavid |

Not necessarily |

it's a ridiculous steal by the Yankees
both Marlins fans are really pissed - jimbro83
I am trying to understand how MLB was fine with new ownership taking over then saying they could use an infusion of cash and then dump their best player for pennies on the dollar just to free up cash. How is that different than the prior owners? |

He told them up front. He was like I wanna go to the Dodgers or Yankees. And they like, uh how about the Giants or Cardinals. So dumb. |

Because it's Derek Jeter and they openly said they'd cut payroll. Loria robbed tax payers blind, while cutting payroll. |

Why would he go, not like he's going to sign anybody good. They're gonna trade Yelich and Ozuna too. |

Not saying I agree with how they are operating, but the other owner handed out all these deals and left before he had to deal with being $400M in debt. This is them digging out of that hole. |

when Jeter gets voted into the Hall of Fame in July of 2020, it will happen after about 120 Stanton Yankee homers most likely. |

The funny thing, is any Ranger fan could tell you, its fantastic having a guy who could score an EN. Usually it was pulling our hair out or a tie game. Rangers where awful with the other teams goalie pulled. |

Even I remember a long stretch where the Rangers were putrid scoring on an empty net. While it's certainly not as valuable as a guy who can score on a goalie, it definitely has value. |

It was awful when there was a 1 goal game late. I would start to feel physically ill when the clock hit about 1:30 |
