They're headed right where they should be, near the bottom to draft more good players |

From last blog.
Quick glance at the top 30 in NHL scoring, there's only three players from the NCAA hockey in there, way more from Europe and led predominantly by CHL players.
The top end talent usually still comes from Europe and the CHL. You are good enough you can play CHL at 16 and not wait for college at 18-19. Euro's offer same thing chance to play earlier. |

When you know you're hockey team isn't very good...
Green on Chaput: 'oh yeah, he's going to stay in the line-up for sure.' |

The USHL is producing some nice players like Boeser but you're right, the CHL still produces way more NHL talent at this point. |

After what I saw last night, I'd keep Chitpoo in the line up over Gagner. I'm fkn serious. I just cant get on board with Gag taking up so much ice time and I want him nowhere near what ever line Brock is on ever again.
Slow, brain dead, poor passing, poor shot, dirty player, bad signing.

Here’s the rub, Chaput isn’t the problem. That line did it’s job, contributed a goal and didn’t get scored on. It’s Gagner who needs sheltered minutes and favorable zone starts. |

When Virtanen, Chaput and Gaunce are your best line, you know the team is not very good.
The 6 week Bo-less team is going to be tough too watch, hopefully Jake and Brock, maybe Goldobin can keep the watchability going. |

Separate the leagues and the USHL now produces more NHL players then the QMJHL. I don't know how far they are behind the OHL and WHL though.
CHL produces higher quality players because the better players from USA and Canada go to it looking for better competition at a younger age.
With the likes of the USDP which I still don't really know where or who they play against. u18 team that players in in the USHL but the development team is a mystery to me. |

Agreed. Getting Linden Vey/Mason Raymond vibes from him.
People can laugh at Chaput/Gaunce, but these guys do the little things that Green likes so I'm sure they'll keep getting games. |

Gagner needs Torts to yell at him to just take the puck to the net. He goes backwards way tooo much, he isn't skilled enough for that. |

You can't separate the leagues because it starts a whole new set of parameters, the CHL is the CHL. |
