Evidently not. That's why they're in the lineup. There's a reason Green was playing them more than a typical 4th line when the team was defending the lead. - Nucker101
So you are saying there is no hockey player in the world that could come here and play on our fourth line and score ONE goal. That's pretty sh1tty , Now I am depressed |

Agreed. He has declined and his name/trade value is worth more than his actual value.
NTC though. - Nucker101
He's too boring to get any dirt for blackmail.

I don't think you are even close to being on the same topic nucker and I were discussing. It's not the world... it's the Canucks roster Green is choosing from.

I'm saying Green is doing what he thinks is best with the roster he's given. And it makes sense. Chaput and Gaunce are sadly two of the best on the team on the PK, defensively, forecheck, board battles, etc.

The Sedin's score goals. They are on the ice for more goals against then what they score. |
|
|
|
Will we be upset when Chaput gets us a pick later in the season from a team that needs a little PK depth for a playoff run? |

Vantel wants all of that plus goal scoring, without being a liability and with shutdown ability. For the same price or cheaper then Gaunce or Chaput. |

Canucks have room for 4 more contracts and a couple mil in cap space .
Maybe they should go find one? |

He did but he chose to resign w the Blues. Canucks couldn’t have signed him even if they wanted to |

If they gave him a contract instead of a PTO he would be here .
That is not really the point though . Gaunce is a AHL player and so is Megna and Chaput. They are great to get a top 6 pick but from a fans entertainment value , hard on the eyes.

Yeah but he's not young, only allowed to give roster spots to younger players. Younger players are better no matter what! don't ya know. Older players have no place in the league right?
Ok, i'm being a dink again but I mean that's all you hear from some in here. Youth, youth, youth. |

Talented or not, younger was better. |

I wish Gaunce could score. He's a 4th line shutdown forecheck kind of guy. He's doing it at 23 years old. Most of the time, that skill set is developed much later on. Maybe the scoring will follow. He's getting chances. Just no finish. After he goes to Tanev's shooting coach. - manvanfan
Canucks do have a lot of no finishers |

In Chaput we trust to get this done for us. |
