Does your television work? I can call a repair man for you if needed?

3rd leading scorer on the team with .66 ppg, takes all the important draws, plays all 3 phases, scores at a toews-like rate for 2.5m less. But yeah, lets get rid of him and use our best dman to do it

Eichel is young and still trying to learn the NHL game. Kane probably should have jumped in on the play but not really his fault. Tarasenko is one of the most explosive players in hockey and preys on weak defensive forwards.
Should have Eichel pressured him more? of course. Should Kane have stepped up sooner? Of course. This is the mentality of our team. Someone else will put the extra effort in. There is not a desperation to win. It can't be fixed with the current players or minor tweeks to the roster.
It's time to make hard decisions to improve the product.
I would rather watch 3 years of young, hungry players missing the playoffs than another minute of the current team.
If we need to package Lehner or Risto to get rid of Okposo, ROR, than do it. If we get offered a first for Kane, do it. If we can get a 4th for Jorges, do it. If we can get a 2nd or 3rd for Reinhart, do it.
Draft speed.

- lulags

He won't throw Risto in to move either ROR or Okposo.

We were significantly outplayed in the last 2 and only Lehner kept us in the games. Not exactly a recipe for success.

My whole point to what I have been arguing in the last two hours is this.

How can we blame Kane for not making the right read on a blown play by Eichel?

You cant. It was Eichel's fault. He is young and hopefully will learn from it.

I'm moving on now.

I hope everyone has a great day.

I know but this is probably the only player under 7 years of Pegula ownership that lived up to the hype and maybe even improved his game during that time. Who else could we name that was a worth while acquisition? Seriously? ROR? It's still up in the air if he is worth the 7.5 mil.

They gave up assets to acquire and guy and he became exactly what you hoped and now you're going to ship him out for a handful of maybes? Shame on the Sabres for even putting themselves in this position. If they didn't want him, couldn't pay him and don't want to commit to him they never should have made the trade.

- Buffalo--Sabres

To be fair, Murray probably would have. I agree with everything you said basically.

The overwhelming attitude here is people saying the want Kane but not for what the market says he's worth. It's like saying "I want to drink this milkshake, but I'm not gonna drink it until it's under 100 calories."

Well then you don't really want to drink the milkshake

Lehner faced over 100 shots between the Hawks and Blues games, but last night was his fault ?

That was my point, but I agree. He is young, playing frustrated, and needs to mature and step up. Hopefully sooner than later

Eichel wasn't on the ice for the game tying goal.

Girgensons, Okposo, E-Rod, O'Reilly were the forwards and Scandella and Risto were the defensemen

I don't disagree. It's almost better than losing but our players are being exposed and we are relying on Lehner to get us a point. He clearly was pissed after both of these losses as neither one was technically his fault. I think he could have played the Chicago goal a bit better but last night was clearly not his fault.
How anyone can watch the last couple games and put ROR in the same light as Toews is baffling?

Get Okposo to agree to a trade to the Coyotes.

Okposo, a 2nd this year, a 3rd next year for Duclair.

Sign Kane, win?

I don't absolve anyone of blame.

Everyone on this team needs to start taking responsibility rather than stating the standard "I need to play better."

Frankly, they all need to play better and more consistent.

Every single player on this team would look decent if they played better. From the top to the bottom, they have to start figuring it out or removing their heads from their collective asses.

I'm tired of the human centipede of a team that goes out and farts around for 90% of the season and the best they can say is that they need to be better.

I think the only one you can say they choked away would be Chicago, and even then I mean look at how tilted the ice was in terms of shots.

They're not a very good team, it's just that simple.

I think they're playing better now than at the start of the season but they have inferior talent. I know I'm going to take some flack for this but that St. Louis game they were engaged. They're just not as good as other teams.

Kane will not sign here and I am starting to believe he is not the solution. LA, NYR, be my guess. Starting to wonder what Housley is thinking as well. Was Antipin a healthy scratch?
