Nice, thanks for sharing. i imagine steve ott being a pretty cool dude to hang with. Drunk Miller would've been great to see
- Sabresfan-365
Drunk Miller was great bc he’d go from being quiet & just chillin to buying rounds of shots & high giving ppl
Great stuff
When I worked at Tappo,
Steve Ott came in almost weekly
I never hung out with him outside of my work though
He was just a super cool guy to chat with
Italian food was his fav

Dude was a straight up piece of sh!t
He really the only guy I ever had personally seen act in a way that’s unacceptable in public
I’ve seen guys act douchy towards girls,
but that’s how drunk guys act in bars
Not excusing it,
but it wasn’t anything major either
I have heard stories about some shady things happening once girls went home with some guys, or to a “party”
But I wasn’t at any of those events,
so I’d rather not spread that stuff around
I’ve also had GREAT experiences with a lot of the guys
Steve Ott is super cool & down to earth
Great dude
Enroth’s gf is a friend of mine, so I’ve hung out with them a bunch
Myers was pretty nice, very shy
Ryan Miller was quiet in public, except for a few times I saw him hammered.
That was funny stuff
Miller’s dad was pretty cool to talk to
They used to come into Coles every time his dad was in town. It was his fav place in buffalo
Miller also lived right around the corner from me in the Elmwood village
Most of the guys I’ve met were pretty good dudes
Not a Sabre,
but JP Losman was probably my fav Bills player I’ve hung out with
Really nice dude
Funny
Loved Buffalo
I was bummed it didn’t work out for him here - jdfitz77
JP was an awesome dude. Before he bought his house I used to work at the Loft apartments he lived in (His OC Tom Clements lived 2 floors above him as did Shaud Williams from the Bills)
He took me to a party once that Lee Evans was hosting. JP gets a bad rap because of his play but he really did love it in Buffalo

I was at Nietsche’s on Allen a few times hanging with JP
He was big into live music
One of my friend’s was a neighbor of his in those lofts
They’d come out & see me when I was bartending pretty regularly

I can't remember his name I think it could have been Mark (had a hot blonde GF with him all the time)?
Those two used to head out all the time together. Both cool dudes.
Sh!t that was like 12 years ago
That place was awesome to work at, Johnny Rzeznik lived there too

My buddy’s name was Scott
Yeah... time flies right?!
We aren’t getting any younger - jdfitz77
No kidding!
Scott sounds familiar. A long long time ago.
I just have some stories of Johnny Rzeznik who lived there too, he got wasted passed out in the shower and flooded JP's apartment (well not totally but his ceiling was leaking from it)

That’s funny
Don’t think I heard that story!
Back in the day,
My mom dated this guy who grew up with the Goos
Got to meet them backstage at a concert they did with Bush & No Doubt
Ps.
Singer form Bush was a huge douche
Gwen was a sweetheart! 😍😍😍
Phantom Menace is the most underrated film in the entire Star Wars canon.
Set design was brilliant. Costumes were fantastic. CGI, believe it or not, only made up about 15% of the film. It was all sets, models and post-production.
People wanted rah-rah Jedi gang-banging. We got a Darth Vader origin story.
You take all the criticism of TPM and apply it to every one of the OG Trilogy and they have the same exact issues with bad acting, pacing, dialogue and melodrama.
IMO, Phantom Menace is the only Star Wars film to capture the nostalgia and magic of the original films.
People will perpetually tear it apart because everyone went in with their own expectations of a film that they had no clue about except Darth Vader is a kid.
The worst fanbases on the internet are: Dragon Ball, Star Wars, Star Trek and Buffalo fans.
Trust me, Phantom Menace was brilliant.
Force Awakens had a Jar Jar character played by John Boyega. And everything about it is an insult to established Star Wars canon. You want to talk about being a fan of Star Wars? Try reading the novels, comics and playing the videogames and studying the lore extensively....
Force Awakens was a travesty. - BeadyEyedDouche
The thing is that the originals were iconic films that captured the imaginations of millions. Whether it wad nostalgia or the sheer awesomeness of them, they had "it." The prequels did not have it, and I forbid my children (6 and 8) from ever watching them.
I have only seen the prequels once in the theater and I might have watched the phantom poopbox on DVD when it came out. They weren't cool, interesting or imaginative. Midichlorians? GTF oh! It should have been mystical. And I didn't like the non human Jedis at all, nor how Yoda was super agile ass kicker then 30 yrs later he dies a decrepit man of 800 or so. Even the space ships were lame and I don't even know what side the clone people were on. Were the by the good guys or the bad guys? I literally have no idea what happened in that movie.
That's how bad they are!

But my uncle is pretty close with them, whenever they are playing down here if I want to go it's just a phone call away.
I was out around the time I worked where JP lived, with my uncle and we met up with Robby and Johnny - Stripes77
Cool
How were they?
They were nice to me,
but I only met them real quick
Didn’t spend much time with them
No Doubt was pretty fun though!
Their drummer was tunning around in nothing but a thong backstage
Talked to Gwen for about 15min or so
Still have a huge crush on her

back in my lurking days, there was someone on here (buffalo39?) suggesting LaFonatine's exit had more to do with how much he likes boys than anything else.
He does kind of look like Michael Jackson these days...
