he is not in the class of #11 or #16
I want to see him closer to them than pierre turgeon
shouldn't be too much to ask - homiedclown
I love how we are the bad guys because we want a true difference maker .... we want more from a guy that can play better why is this a bad thing on a team that is quite frankly....sucky.
Gilbert took games over, patty Layla took games over, Hasek dominated games... I just want that from my 10 million dollar center.

the effort is there tonight
if this team had effort like this and was in 30th place, I would have no issues
it's the lack of effort for log stretches that has me pissed off this season - homiedclown
and a game where we finally play how we are supposed to isn't going to make me happy, idk about you.
it's nice to see but still, too few and far in between |

the guy who's on a three-game point streak (1+3)? - Michael Pachla
As a Center on the 1st line he is expected to produce at a 0.90 PPG rate to be considered average. He is producing at a 0.77 Rate, making his production below average. That is over a 30 game period, Not some cherry picking 3 game sample.
Yet, he will be paid as an elite center. At that point, he should be expected to produce at 1.0 PPG rate, a mere 10% increase over average. The other pay is dedicated to producing in other aspects of play ... like defensive effort and his subpar faceoff win rate to drive team success.
The boy needs to realize that to whom much is given, much is expected.
When he mans up and produces a solid all around game...then, and only then will he live up to expectations.
His current production and play is that of a 2nd line center, like it or not.

He plays with more heart than every sabres team since Briere and Drury left, is a 4th line grinder, has more goals than our entire defensive core put together, is the only guy who checks, is constantly in position and is playing the exact role he is supposed to.
Why anyone is hating on him this season is beyond me. - BeadyEyedDouche
He can’t handle the puck. He hasn’t completed a pass all season. He drags the puck into the zone and then surrenders possession, in real life, as often as you complain that ROR does.
His 2 goals in 27 games is a “bare minimum,” and anyone who touts his “always being in position” is “easily pleased.” |

like I said, some people are happy with "almost"
We almost won ONE of those Super Bowls but went to 4-straight, people are happy with the latter
We almost won the Stanley Cup twice...
Almost went past the Conference Finals twice...
Almost got McDavid...

Just like that terrible Oilers team has prevented McDavid from being a .ppg player?
The excuses keep coming.
Can't imagine McDavid's stats if the Oilers didn't suck
He'd have 50 goals already or at least a hundred points |
