I honestly think trading him might be the best thing for this team going forward.

Come at me, I don't care. I hate him as a player right now.

At least Crosby backed his sh!te attitude up with four 100-point seasons in his first 5-years and the only year he didn't, he played in 2/3rds of the season due to injury. And those first couple of years he had poop-all for teammates.

Jack is on pace for 3 straight 50-point seasons. Woo!

Trade him while his value is high, that 10 million dollar "discount" he took should make his value even higher.

He refuses to be coached, it's pretty blatantly obvious.

and where does that lead the franchise?...what would the return be?...and if you're getting picks and prospects, which of those would actually end up being close to his skill-level?

I almost walked out on them but then realized I'm at home, willingly torturing myself with this crap.

WE ARE 30 GAMES INTO THE SEASON.

Tank or not, evaluation or not, I cannot understand how some of the posters on here can still find reasons to defend this team. This is horrible.

On a message board? Way to put yourself out there in the danger zone. Hold your ground and don't cave to the pressure, even if being assaulted by adjectives.

Trade Eichel, this should get interesting. 😂

It doesn't matter. If we get a boatload of picks/prospects for him we are right where we already are going forward, dump a few more of the bad contracts and this team is rebuilt the right way, young, fresh, hungry and all young enough to grow together.

Botterill's AHL plan is working out great. Build that winning culture from the ground up.

Our current NHL roster doesn't have one and at this point, everyone's solution is to trade everyone....

Well my rebuttal is to trade the only guys who actually have value.

Yeah, I'm saying scorched earth rebuild. Trade Kane, Risto, ROR, Okposo for picks/prospects and go from there.

The stench of the tank will never leave this group of players.

We aren't tanking this season, we flat out suck.

Time to do the rebuild right, because it wasn't done right the first time and with a new GM/Coach, you have a bunch of holdovers from the last few years and it's CANCER.

And go figure, 2 of them are gone and we're stuck with one of them.

Landeskog is great but he ain't no superstar and MacKinnon is good but not elite, sorry not sorry.

right, I think Eichel is better than MacK

but Mackinnon last year finished with 53 points. This year he's over a ppg

Is it because Eichel isn't a part of the proletariat with his new contract?

Then why did we tank for an 18% chance of drafting McDavid, who will be one of the greatest players ever, when the conslation prize was a tunic-wearing, Bud-Light drinking, Hermey the Elf, D.D.S looking mother (frank)er, and an entitled, whiney c unt from Boston.
