Does anyone know if the rumor STL and Sabres are in deep talks about a Kane trade?

Would have to look through their players to see what I would want. I would think a 1st is involved (but wont be that great) but the question would be "who else". I did hear a rumor (here, I think) they want to package Kane with another player (goalie?) but I highly doubt that could bring back Jake Allen, so who knows.

I looked at their roster and prospects playing down ... was not impressed.
I think STL isn’t our best trade partner...maybe Botts is letting a little leak out to drive the competitive offers higher?

I am in Vancouver and I mentioned yesterday that I had a chat with John Van Boxmeer. He was in town scouting the Canucks/Preds game last night. Not much for him to scout - it was a blowout. But it does add to the speculation that maybe the Sabres and Canucks might become dance partners. Both Kane and Reinhart are local boys. I am sure they would love to play up that angle if they could.

BTW - stay away from Gubrenson.
