Karlsson is tempting as we would have the cap space next year and we have never had that type of Norris guy in the lineup. But man we would have to give up our next 5 years of prospects to get him...don't think it's worth the risk but wow would it be nice to have a guy like that on the club. - LordHumungous
Where would be an ideal landing spot for Karlsson if they traded him now?
Edm is clusterfcuk.
I can't see them helping out Tor.
Maybe the Islanders make a pitch and go for it?

hmmm. you've also got to think about messing with chemistry too.
I don't follow either team closely. |

winnipeg can't afford him either. Be a a zero sum gain for them other than to win this year or next... which I guess would be huge for them
I still see him going somewhere he gets paid the big bucks, where they know he can get locked up. And also somewhere that has some serious assets. I could see Colorado. Barrie and picks and a prospect. would be hilarious to see them get their picks back from getting raped for Duchene. mackinnon and Karlsson would be an unreal 1c and 1d to build around, arguably the best in the league. I think Stammer and Hedman is best until the throne is taken, but we shall see. |

i'd be surprised if it was the av's. they need to continue the rebuild.
i think at $6.5M, he's such good value right now. for me, it has to be a cup contender. |

Turris essentially told the Van media today that the Sens management wanted to re-sign him but Melnyk didn't want to so they had to trade him. That ownership situation is insane - nucks_94
Someone mentioned a rumor on HF that Melnyk might sell the Sens |

I'm suggesting Vancouver is a lottery team, the Oilers (for the time being) are 4 points back of us. That will change. |

Won't change when Edmonton wins the draft lottery from like 14th spot and bump us down 3 spots or some (frank)en bullpoop. |

What’s a rumor chart? Is it statistics based, with different sized and coloured bubbles on an x-y plane? - 1970vintage

Green talks about Goldobin's work ethic in practice I see. I try and remind people all the time that the coach makes decisions often based on what we don't see in a handful of shifts per game. Goldobin is a noticeable floater on the ice and now like I expected, he's getting that tag in practice as well. People talk about the long term goal and not the just win the next game mindset so throw the kids in there. You are getting a more qualified player long term if you make sure he puts in the work ethic and builds constructive habits. The nearsightedness is on the fans not the coach typically.
Good news is Green saw he did it in Utica and thinks he's going to get that out of him on the Canucks. - boonerbuck
Jeff Patterson had a good take on this. Try to listen to his podcast.
Readers digest version : Canucks have only held 2 practices since Goldobin has arrived and he is not sure Green was there for either practice.Nothing stood out about Goldobin at the practices good or bad. JPat even suggested that Green may hate practice even more that Torts did.
JPat never called Bull Crap but he did seem very surprised at Greens statement that he doesn't practice hard.

i liked that quote about not wanting a 20g scorer that you lose with.
I suspect that many posters on here would be happy with the opposite and like to see Goldobin score 20 in the short term.
Green gets it. - dbot
Does it matter if you are losing 5-4 with a goal scorer or 2-1 with a defensively minded team with no offence? |
