Okay not putting it on you. I'll look for it. But I have followed the practice info all season from both stations and was never aware that TG was not at practice. He's been pretty hands on engaged with all the players. Tells them where they stand good or bad.
TG's last quote I recall from practice with Goldy was trying to figure out what kind of player her is and then he scratched him. We know Goldy's weaknesses so figured that he was using same tools on development he has had with JV. More focused mature players like BB and as we know Bo pick up things faster to show consistency. Goldy can get there too. - Nuck4U
The key part was Goldobin has been here for 8 games . They have had 2 practices. He was surprised at the comment about not practicing hard. |

Yep it really shows the talent level on the Canucks. He played half a year on first line here and can't make the Sharks - VANTEL
Shows how awful the first line was.
At this stage I'd rather have a young, developing prospect than an aging veteran.
Isn't that what you wanted? |

For sure. Green has been in the same spot as Goldobin, I think the kid is going to be fine just needs to elevate his preparation (as many kids do) |

I get that its the same misinterpretation others are doing with the floating label. Goldy is trying and working hard its not lack of effort. Its the focus to details and consistency. Takes a new level of doing.
TG is looking to instill a development of excellence not just good enough. That is pushing a young player harder and more then they are used to and that helps long term. |

It is what I want. I do agree we have an awful line and I am glad Bo and Brock are taking over. |

Seems we always have a whipping boy or two . NG and JV are the whipping boys but they are not the real problems.
Excluding Bo and Boeser this team really struggles to score from top to bottom . We have a lot of wasted salary on poor productivity |

Gilman on 1040 is the only radio I'll ever listen to. It's nice to get an inside look.
Interesting points on drafting Subban. PK grew a couple of inches after getting drafted and Malcolm is 6'2" and their dad is also pretty big so they thought he'd grow.
Also said he would've liked to see Subban moved to the wing, but coaches didn't think it would work.

I agree. But then "whipping boy" might also be seen as guys getting the most attention and coaching from the staff. I personally want the coaching staff to focus on working with the kids, could care less whether the 27 and overs are playing Green's system well personally. |

Ya I don't see why you wouldn't convert him to wing, or at least try it. I also agree Gilman is a smart dude and really interesting personality to be able to listen to. |

They are not the same thing but hey no shame that athletic competitive excellence is a concept not understood on the woodpile. |

How is floating and not paying attention to details & being inconsistent, not similar?
To me they are at par.
Perhaps I don't have the superior intellect that you demonstrate? For that I offer my humble apologies. |

That is completley irrelevant. We also still have Rathbone not that it matters. |

Good points. Like you know who Vanek is he's going to play the same whatever team or system he is in. The young guys you mold and lift to new areas for them. |
